(Sonima fires up two energy balls one in each hand. She lets them loose but quickly puts a magnetic shield around them before they explode.)

Sonima: He made a kid the right way for once . . . My mother and him were together back in the day and they started this group of renegade mutants called the Marauders. They would often fight against the original team of X-Men. She was seriously injured in a battle with the X-Men. Someone severely injured her nervous system. She retired from the Marauders but kept in contact with Sinister. Around that time she got pregnant with me. Unaware of it though, she married another man. The man already had a child named Lina, my sister Blaze. They found out my mom was pregnant and assumed it was his. As I grew up my mother told me she had MS to cover up her past with Sinister and explain her failing health. My adopted dad died in a motorcycle accident when I was younger. Blaze ran away after that and it left me and mom. When I was 18, my mom died as far as I knew and I left out on my own adventures.
