Agility

[Nightcat]

(liz walks over to the wall and pushes in a code. A table pops up in the middle of the room. Liz pads over to it, drawing her gloves on as she goes. She turns to Rogue and waits for her and ECKS to follow.)

Liz: Lay down on the table and try to relax.

[Rogue]

(Rogue walks over and lays down on the table. She is scared of what Liz might uncover, but she has to know the truth)

Rogue: Ah am as ready as ah will eva be.

(Rogue closes her eyes and relaxes her body and clears her mind.)

[ECKS]

. . .

ECKS: "I'll just stand over here. Don't wanna get in the way or anything."

(ECKS takes a few steps back and crosses his arms. He watches closely in case of a need to step in and break this up if a problem occurs.)

[Nightcat]

(Liz takes a deep breath and wrappes her tail around ECKS's wrist. She places one hand on Rogue's head and the other on her own. Slow she pushes she way through what must have been Rogue's childhood. A young girl playing in a big yard with her smiling mother. The girl holding hands with everyone she can, such a social butterfly. Cody. Wolverine. Pain. I'll have this white for the rest of my life. I really like Bobby, but I can't touch him. I almost took the cure. I left the X-men. Found the Brotherhood. Ms. Marvel, I can't get rid of her. Mystique. I touched her.
Now Liz with seeing things that cannot be Rogue's. Christain Wagner, my husband. A wealthy baron in Germany. I was found out after I had the baby. I ran and I threw him over the waterfall. I am not ashamed of it. But he turned out alright. And the same goes for the girl. I just hope she doesn't hate me for what I did in my past to her brother. Slowly Liz with draws from Rogue's mind. By the time she's out there are tears streaming down both their faces and Liz is surprized the her tail has not cut off the circulation on ECKS's wrist. Liz puts her hands down and slowly unravels her tail. She waits for a responce from either of them, unable to speak herself.)

[Rogue]

Rogue: Its true, (she wipes her eye but the tears still come.) she is mah motha and Kurt's mah brotha. Why, why would she do that ta her own children. She helped Magneto put me in that machine, she watched me almost die, and she tried ta kill Kurt when he was just born. ECKS, ah have ta find Kurt and tell him the truth. He has ta know. Ah have ta confront Mystique too, ah have ta know why.

(Rogue gets up of the table and just stands there ears flowing. Her knees give out on her as she just lets the emotions take over.)

[ECKS]

(ECKS starts to think of how to locate Nightcrawler and Mystique to help Rogue with her problem.)

ECKS: "I remember hearin' that before Alkali Lake, Nightcrawler was found by the Professor in some abandoned church in Boston. Not sure exactly where though."

. . .

ECKS: "Mystique is gonna be harder to track down. She was last seen in custody just before the fight at Alcatraz Island. Where she is now is anybodies guess. But I'll see what I can find."

. . .

[Nightcat]

(Liz just stands there between her two friends. Any movements she makes are very jerky and she tail is still as a board. She can't just the images of Nightcrawler out her mind. In a way she is searching for the man. in the end her body gives and she crumples to the floor.)

[Rogue]

Rogue: She must be exhausted . . .

(Rogue goes over and picks Nightcat up and turns to ECKS)

Rogue: We can finish this in the morning, ah am taking her ta her room ta get some sleep.

(Rogue walks out with Nightcat curled up in her arms.)

[ECKS]

(ECKS walks to the computer and shuts down the program. After resetting the locks he walks out the door. Once out the light turns out and the door slides shut behind him. He walks over to the elevator and presses the call button then waits. The doors open and he steps inside.)
