(The infirmary is still and quiet. That is until... BAMF! Out of nowhere ECKS, Nightcat, and Nightcrawler appear. ECKS, still holding Nightcat walks to the nearest observation table and sets her on it. Looking a little disoriented from the teleporting he shakes his head.)
ECKS: "I don't think I'll ever get used to that."
Nightcrawler: "It is not always the easiest thing for a person who's not used to it."
(ECKS walks over to the machine they have set up to take MRI's. He presses a few buttons and the power clicks on, a whirring sound can be heard inside. The table slides out.)
ECKS: "I'd really like to get an X-ray of her shoulder, just to see how bad it really is. I'm pretty sure I remember how to do this. Just come over here and lay on this Nightcat."
(She quietly complies, and after getting into position ECKS explains it to her.)
ECKS: "Ok, what's gonna happen here, is I'm gonna press this button and the table is gonna slide into that tube. Lights all around you will flash on and off, that's how we get the X-rat of your shoulder, when it's done, this light will turn from red to green and I'll bring you back out. Now when you're inside there, you have to lay completely still for the result to come out right. You ok with this?"
Nightcat: "It's a little scary, but I am ready. Just let me know when to be still."
(ECKS pushes a button and the table slide into place. Just a few seconds later, he nods to her, and the lights start flashing. After each one flashes several times, getting several different angles, the green light in front of ECKS comes on. He pushes the slide button again and the table comes back out. Then he goes over and grabs the X-ray sheets. He walks to the wall mounted lights and clips a few of them up to get a better look.)
ECKS: "Not nearly as bad as I thought. It's your collar bone, but it's a clean break right next to your shoulder. I'll have to get one of the slings to hold your arm, I'd like for you to not use it for a least a few days. Give it time to set itself and start healing. After that we'll bring you back in here to check on it. If you're in any pain I have plenty of things to give you. You're lucky, Liz, this coulda been a lot worse. But it should heal just fine, given enough time."
Nightcat: "Danke, for helping me. We brought Callisto back for Rogue and Kurt, that is all I'm concerned with."
(ECKS grabs a sling from a nearby storage closet, he walks back over and helps Nightcat put her arm into it. Then he removes his gloves and tosses them onto the table.)
ECKS: "Anytime. I'm proud of you, you did a great job out there today. Don't let this small setback stop you. Let me know if you need anything else, I'm gonna go and get cleaned up."
(After flashing a smile, ECKS turns to Nightcrawler and extends his hand to say thanks. The two shake and after he walks out of the infirmary.)
