Beginning of the End

[ECKS]

(ECKS' keen senses pick up Christina's shouts even through all the fighting. Realizing that he couldn't possibly make it to her in time he yells for Ana.)

ECKS: "ANA!! Christina's down, grab her and get her inside now!"

(Just as he finishes he turns to clip a soldier with a nasty clawed uppercut then backhands a second soldier. He turns back to see Ana already in motion then hears a gun go off behind him. Hearing and tracking the sound of the dart moving through the air he holds his hand out and it sticks right into his palm, the needle just barely shows on the other side. He grabs it, rips it from his hand and throws at the soldier who shot it, hitting him in the chest.)

[Starr]

(After hearing ECKS' call she immediately turns and runs for the mansion. Ana quickly notices that their are two soldiers trying to take Christina, so she quickly checks the ammo in her guns clip, good enough, she thinks to herself. She makes her way to the jeep near the center of the grounds. She hops onto the hood then launches herself off of it, and into the air, she takes aim and in mid-air fires the gun at her targets. The two soldiers hit the ground even before she does. She stops to look at the gun.)

Ana: "Like I said, good enough."

(She drops the now empty gun and runs for Christina, not noticing she has a cure weapon strapped around her shoulder, she scoops her and dives shoulder first through the nearest window, making to shield Christina from hitting the window herself. She drags her behind the couch where she can hide her for now. She walks back to the window but decides it's better to stay inside so no one can get to Christina.)

[Nightcat]

(Liz looks over from her stop behind the couch as she hears the sound of breaking glass. As this point, she is barely conscious from loss of blood and the pain in her shoulder. She hears a thud next to her and sees Christina lying there. She hears some one on the other side of the couch. She calls out in a soft voice.)

Liz: Ist anyvone zere? Help me.

[Starr]

(Hearing the voice behind her she almost jumps but quickly remembers that Liz is still inside and stops herself. She peeks over the top of the couch to see Liz on the other side.)

Ana: "It's just me, Liz. How you holding up in here?"

[Nightcat]

(Liz smiles up at Ana inspite of the pain.)

Liz: I am fine for being shot zree times. Four if you include zat verdamnt temp cure veapon, vhich I am hoping vill wear off soon.

(She looks over at Christina then back to Ana with slightly unfocued eyes.)

Liz: Vas happened to her?

[Starr]

. . .

Ana: "She got hit with a tranquilizer dart and a couple of the soldiers were trying to make off with her. So I grabbed her and here we are, I figured she'd be better in here like this than out there. At least in here she has some cover. We can't let them take her, she's the key to all of this."

[Nightcat]

(Liz nods and stands shakily. She shakes her head and suddenly her hair goes back to it's old blue and her eyes return to their original emerald green with no pupils. She notices this.)

Liz: Oh dank Gott! Zis means zat I must be regaining mein powers back!

[Starr]

(Peeking over the couch she notices that Liz is right.)

Ana: "That's great news, because ECKS seems to think we're all being stalled for some reason. Like they're about to bring out the big guns or something. And if he's right, we're gonna need all the help we can get."

Ana: "On the plus side, there's plenty of guns and ammo laying around the grounds from all the soldiers we've taken down so far."

[Nightcat]

(Liz nods again and readjusts the Colt, M1, and Katanas that are on her person. She winces in pain as her tail starts to regrow from her spine and her hands and feet return to their original form.)

Liz: You can count on me.

[Starr]

. . .

Ana: "If you sure you're ok to go, they could use the extra help outside. I'm gonna stay in here and watch these windows in case someone saw me dive in here with Christina. I think someone should be with her at least until the drugs wear off. But if you go, be careful, like I said I'm getting worried that this may be just a distraction, too."

(She checks her own weapons to make sure she can hold anyone off long enough for Christina to wake up.)

[Nightcat]

(Liz nods once to Ana and she runs out to face the remaining opposition. She understood Ana's concerns, things were very suspicious. She jumps out of the window that Ana had smashed through as her blue fur comes growing back. She tries out her telekineses and sees that by using it, she can hold the bone in her shoulder in place as well as stop the bleeding. She hears russelling in the bushes. Liz pretend to ingnore it as she walks to toward them. She draws one of her swords and suddenly stabs it into the bushes. She hears a thud as the body of the soldier hits the ground.)

Liz: Es ist gute to be back.

[Starr]

(With Liz back outside, Ana takes another glance over her shoulder to make sure that Christina is still out, then turns back to the windows and checks through the rest of her supplies.)

[Oracle]

(Being unconscious, Christina's premontion powers become more active and begin showing her various premontions unprovoked. Each premontion passes through her mind as a dream, but looking at her you would think she is awake for her eyes sharply open, glowing a deep purple. One vision is her usual nightmare of her father's accident. Next, she sees Magneto being shot with a tranquilzer dart. The following vision is one of Liz and that wolf mutant that was at the mansion earlier. The two were fighting until Liz faints and the wolf takes her away in a helicopter. The final vision she sees is a dark chamber. The chamber is long and wide with strange drawings across the walls. She sees some kind of mechanism that seems to not belong in the same time era as the chamber. She can tell the mechanism is activated as a wall opens in front of her leading to a downward staircase. Down the stairs is a strange coffin like object. Christina does not see who or what is inside, but she knows who it is. She then sees a dagger or sword of some kind being thrusted into her body as she hunches over and sees her hands covered in her own blood. In the final moments her eyes look again to the coffin and she sees it is beginning to open.)

(Christina's eyes finally shuts again as she presses her eyes closed tightly and moans. She moves her head slightly, finding it's taking more out of her to move than it should. She tries to stand, but her body is moving so sluggishly slow that she gives up. Clearly she wouldn't even have the strength to stand at the moment. She remembers being shot with the tranquilzer dart and figures that even though she has regained consciousness, her body is still too numb to hold herself up. She blinks a few times for her normal vision to return and looks around the room with her bright blue eyes. She sees Ana standing by the window. She calls out to her, but her voice is soft that she wonders if she even heard her.)

Christina: Hey...

[Starr]

(Still sitting by the window Ana hears something behind her, but it's very faint. Not sure what it is she slowly turns and sees Christina, eyes open and struggling to get up. She hurries over and helps her sit up then helps hold her up.)

Ana: "Just take it easy, the tranquilizer is still in your system. It'll be a least a few more minutes before you can move normally."

(She begins to realize that Christina is trying to tell her something. She leans closer so she can hear.)

Ana: "What's wrong, did you have a vision?"

[Oracle]

(Christina nods her head as she tries to overcome her drowsiness.)

Christina: Yeah, a lot of them... One, Magneto... got shot with a tranquilzer... And the other... that wolf that was here earlier... he and Liz were fighting... Liz fainted, and he took her away.

(Christina decides those two visions were the most important to mention at the moment. In fact, if no one asked about her other visions, then that would be perfect. Christina tries to shake off the rest of the tranquilzer's effect on her. With Ana's help and using the sofa to help pull herself up, Christina stands up and leans against the sofa to support herself. Soon she is standing on her own, but her energy is still drained. Christina puts her back against the sofa to face Ana and feels the cure weapon press against her back. She had almost forgotten about it. She's glad she turned around and hopes that Ana didn't see it. She decides to give Ana something else to worry about just in case she may have noticed.)

Christina: We need to go check on Magneto and Liz... make sure my visions haven't come true yet.
