(ECKS eyes suddenly open and he sits up. Looking around he sees his team trapped with him in a large white room. He can tell just by his senses being normal that this room has some kind of power to block out mutant abilities. His senses and healing factor are useless inside this room. He looks around, then he remembers something. His own adamantium claws are not part of his abilities, they're implants. But extracting them could cause him severe blood loss without his ability to heal. Herring part of the ongoing argument, he stands and joins in.)
ECKS: "What the hell's goin' on? Sonima, why are you doin' this? We tried to help you, I tried to help you. I only used the trackin' device as a way to find you if these people got their hands on you. It had nothin' to do with not trustin' ya."
(Angered, he raises his voice. He raises a hand and points directly at Sonima.)
ECKS: "You think these people give a damn about you? You're just a project to them, a puppet. And they're the ones pullin' all the strings. I know what that's like, I know what it's like to believe so completely in somethin' only to find out that the people you trusted were only usin' ya. There are kids at our mansion, innocent kids and your so called friends are headed there right now, what do ya think will happen to those kids?"
(Hoping to hit a nerve or possibly appeal to whatever good may be left in Sonima, ECKS continues.)
ECKS: "Your friends are the real cowards. They're willin' ta kill mutants, kids at that, to reach their goal. Is that really what you want? 'Cause if you let this happen, if you hurt any of those kids then your gonna have to kill me, too, 'cause that's the only way you're gonna stop me from comin' after you."

(Ana stands by ECKS and supports him in his decision.)
Ana: "That goes for me, too. I may have been on the wrong side for a long time when I worked for Weapon X, but at least I never killed anyone to do what I was told. You've gone mad, and if you think that this is right, you're gonna have to kill me to. I've been used for long enough, it's time that I make a stand for something that I really believe in, and what ECKS is doing at that school, that's what I believe is right."
(Ana takes a long look at her fiance, then turns back to Sonima.)
Ana: "He's helping young mutants like yourself by giving them a safe place to live and a place where they can learn to control their powers. He's trying to fulfill the dream of a man who died trying to unite this world. You've lost your way, what you're doing now is not what was intended for mutants and humans. You may be able to take away our gifts, but you can never take away our will to do what's right, no matter what the cost."

(Sonima's eyes get a little of their normal brightness back into them as she listens to their words. She looks over to the group. She drops to her knees and begins to cry.)
Sonima: I .. .I don't want to do this. I don't want anyone to get hurt. Their is a darkness inside of me that has taken over, I can't control it. They are controlling me its all in my head the dark side of my mind is taking over and I can't stop it. This side has no feelings for Nox or anyone you. I'm so sorry, please forgive me. I never wanted to hurt anyone.
(Her eyes return to the dull lifeless stare. She stands and walks away from the room.)

Sonima: Stop with your friendly gestures, its to late for that.
(Sonima closes her eyes for a moment)
Sonima: It seems Nightcat is making much progress at the mansion. She has already caught half of the students that remain empty handed.
(Sonima laughs darkly)
Sonima: It won't be long before she returns and we can have our happy little reunion. Nox will be the first on the list to find out what happens when you cross me. He is the only one I am concerned with, Hex has special plans for the rest of you. Don't worry he will not harm you or any of ther others. He will just take what he needs from them and leave them be. That is as long as you all comply and play nice.

(Kitty knew now Sonima wasn't herself. It was a dark side, like Jean and the Phoenix were. Kitty prayed that the same outcome wouldn't happen to Sonima, but she feared it may.)

Sonima: I am not here to hurt a fellow mutant but if you stand in our way I will have no other choice. There is something big coming dear Kitty, are you sure your ready for it?
(Sonima turns to Kitty her eyes seems to have a burning black fire in them.)
Sonima: It wasn't to long ago you and the X-Men faced a friend who turned to the dark side, Jean Grey. Well, just think of me as the new Phoenix, I have more power than you could ever imagine and I am willing to use it to help the mutant race take there place at the top where they belong. It wasn't that long ago you stabbed one of your own friends in the back either Kitty or have you forgetten. You and Bobby drove Rogue to take the cure. Just be glad it wasn't permanent, I don't think you could have lived with that guilt on your mind forever.

Shadowcat: Nothing happened between me and Bobby. He just cheered me up because I was so depressed about what happened to the Professor. I would never backstab my friends.
(Kitty looks at Rogue.)
Shadowcat: And Rogue, I'm sorry if you think something did, but nothing happened.
(Kitty looked back at Sonima.)
Shadowcat: And as about Jean, I don't want the same outcome to happen to you. We all took a stand that day, and I'm taking the same stand now.

Rogue:(to herself) How could she repeat that ah told her that in secret . . . ah neva wanted Kitty ta find out that was the reason ah got the cure. That night when ah saw her and Bobby skating ah knew that ah would lose him foreva if ah didn't do something. it was so long ago and ah was a child then.
