time to plan, ready to strike

[Nightcat]

(Liz stirs at the the sound of the blasts. She gets to her feet and shakes her head to clear it. She coughs up blood but takes off towards the building. She hears the sound of Radar's voice and Wolf talking back to him. At the sound of the gun shot, she teleports inside the building to Wolf's side. At the sight of him, she screams.)

Liz: NEIN!!! Chaze!!

(She hurries to his side and cradles his head in her lap.)

Liz: Hold on Chaze. Bitte. VHY!?

(She screams at Radar.)

[Radar]

(Radar raises his gun in response to Liz’s question, and rests his finger on the trigger. Her life is in his hands as she stares down at the dying turncoat, Wolf. A long moment passes, and Radar sighs out loud to show his disappointment. He turns away, and motions for the Theta and the last three wolf soldiers to follow. As he leaves, he calls back over his shoulder.)

Radar: If you’re smart, you won’t follow. But if I even get the feeling that I’m being followed, then I’ll kill every single human and mutant in a twelve mile radius. And trust me, I can.

(The Theta grins and bears its yellow-green fangs and turns. It turns and rumbles off after them. As they leave, Radar presses the Blade of Apocalypse against his chest and smiles.)

[Wolf]

(Wolf opens his eyes, and realizes that he can barely see Liz. But he makes out her outline, sage eyes, and her blue skin. He gives her a weary grin.)

Wolf: ….I guess…..I shouldn’t make…….promises. Seems………like…..I……can’t keep ‘em.

(Wolf lets his body go, and his form slowly changes back to human as he lays in Liz’s arms. He wearily lifts his hand and brushes a thin strand of hair back from Liz’s face. As he does, she only smiles at him. Each word hurts him, but he continues knowing he has little time.)

Wolf: Liz…..I….think……I..I….I think I love you……when it’s over……go....see the.......Arora Borealis. For….me…ok?

(Wolf leans up, with the last of his strength. As he kisses Liz’s forehead, the pain doubles in his chest and he falls back. Liz catches him and he smiles again weakly. Then his eyes close and his body goes limp as he dies.)

[Nightcat]

(All Liz can do is sit there and cradle the man she loved in her arms and cry. The physical pain of her injuries is dwarfed by the emotional pain coursing through her heart and mind. Somehow she manages a smile and she nods.)

Liz: I vill Chaze. For you, I vill see ze Norzern Lights.

(She whips the tears from her eyes and sends a mental message to the others.)

Liz: I am in Egypt. Ze volf ist dead. I need to be picked up.

(Liz stands and walks out of the ruins of the building. She turns around, lifts Chaze's body from it, and places it gently back on the open ground. She then dismantles the house and begins to build a stone coffin for him. When she is done, she uses her telekenesis to seal the stones together. She walks slowly over to the coffin and sits down on it. Once again. She uses her telekenesis to carve:

Chaze Snipez
The man that captured my heart.
May his memory live forever.

Liz then curls up on top of the coffin and waits for her ride to come get her.)

[Radar]

(Radar enters his room at the hotel and sits down on the bed. The Theta is already at the airport, ready to make its way back to the states. Dom and the others are outside waiting for the serum to wear off. It shouldn't be long now. Radar sighs and curses. He goes to the bar in a corner in his room and pours himself a glass of whiskey. He downs it and then throws the glass hard against the wall, breaking it. As it falls to the floor, Radar slinks to the floor. Wolf's words rang in his ears, but he ignored them. He stood slowly, and hit the com in his ear.)

Radar: C'mon guys. We got to go. I need to get away from this f@#$%^g place a.s.a.p.

(Radar packs quickly and exits the hotel. An hour later, the remainder of his team is in the airport, waiting for their plane.)

[Nightcat]

(Liz lays on top of the coffin for two days. As the times change, so does her apperance. She takes her human form during the day and her normal form at night. She doesn't move otherwise. In truth, she is in a tracelike state, waiting and listening for the others to arrive.)

[Wolf]

(A tall shadowed figure opens his eyes against the hot Egyptian sun. He is well hidden in the shade of the abondoned buildings surrounding the deserted garden. As he does so, he sees a woman lying atop a makeshift tomb. He sniffs the air quietly and can smell the scent of his old student. He lets out a growl of anger as he realizes his old friend is the one dead and encased. The mutant starts to lower his claws, but then smells Chaze's scent on the woman. He concludes they must have had much contact for his scent to be left on her so strongly. Therefore, she's not an enemy perched on his tomb as a victory celebration, but rather a mourner. He lets out a sigh and retracts his claws. As he dissapears back into the shadows, he remembers a sage, one rumored to be powerful enough to conquer death. He wonders if it's possible as he leaves his blood-brother momentarily.)

[Nightcat]

(Liz looks up as she hears the sound of a jet, but not wanting to move from the top of the coffin, she has her body begin to glow a soft green often associated with her telekinesis. Ever now and then the glow pluseates, giving the effect of a really wierd, blinking light. She send a single telepathic message to the others.)

Liz: Look for the green light.

[Mindcontrol]

(the voice of Mindcontrol is heard from nowhere)

Mindcontrol:Liz we're ready to take you home come on.

[Nightcat]

(Liz looks up to see the jet directly above her. Her gaze returns to the inscription on the coffin. She kisses softly.)

Liz: Ich liebe sie Chaze.

(She gets off the tomb and looks around for a second and spots a briefcase on the ground. She walks over to it and opens it. In it is at least five hundred grand. She closes the briefcase and teleports up to the jet.)

[Wolf]

(The shadowed figure has returned accompanied by three others, all cloaked in purple Egyptian cotton. As the tall menacing figure watches the jet leave, he motions to the others. He watches the jet until it has fully disappeared. He turns to the others and smiles. They follow him and the four step out into the fading sunlight. Victor Creed casts a glance at the Egyptian sunset. The horizon is a vast swirl of orange and yellow cirrus clouds, mixed with purple and dark blue of the approaching night. Victor smiles, but it's brief.
He reaches the tomb and lets his claws down. He shoves them into a small crack and breaks into the tomb. Lying on a bed of faded cement and remains of marble, Chaze Snipez's dead body lies. He looks peaceful, and ignorant. A thought pierces Creed's mind as he realizes that if this works, Chaze would no longer be ignorant or dead. The thought of Chaze being ignorant brought a smile to Victor's face, but once again, it's brief. Victor slips his hands into the makeshift tomb and picks Chaze up out of it. He brings him into the fading sunlight and the other three creep up. They begin to work on Chaze as the light leaves the world of the living.)
