dinner

[Nightcat]

(Liz finds the kitchen with little difficulty. Turing into it, she finds a room almost identical to the Mason mansion. She pads over to the refridgerator, opens it to find..... not a whole lot to work with. She grabs some fruit and vegatables and places them on the counter, flicking the frige door closed with her tail.
She walks over to the cabinets and found some bowls and forks. She goes back over to the food and places the bowls and utensils down. she takes the food and places them into the bowls, walks over to the sink, washes it adn walks back over to the counter. She reaches down to she waist and removes the daggers from their holdsters. Using extreame care not to slice her fingers, she starts to cut up the food and placing them back into the bowls. She steps away from the counter and calls to ECKS though the link.)

Liz: Dinner is ready when you are.

[Rogue]

Rogue: Ah'm starving. . .

(Rogue walks into the kitchen and sees Liz finishing cutting the fruit and veggies)

Rogue: Thanks sugah, lord knows ah try ta cook but it nevah sames to come out right

[Nightcat]

(Liz looks up at the sound of Rogue's voice)

Liz: Oh Danke. It is not much. You guys will have to go shopping for more food. There is almost nothing in the fridge. Well, as you can see dinner is ready.

(Liz takes the six smaller bowls and sets them out with the forks on the oak table in the middle of the kitchen.)

Liz: Take your pick. There is some ranch dressing and soda in the fridge of you want any.

[ECKS]

(After his detour ECKS walks into the kitchen to see Rogue and Nightcat eating some fruits and vegetables. He smirks at them as he walks to the counter.)

ECKS: "Oh yeah, I knew I'd forgotten somethin'. Guess I shoulda gone grocery shoppin' already but I really wasn't expecting any other guests for a least a little while longer."

(He grabs a piece of an apple, extracts his the left side claw on his right hand and cuts it in half. Then retracts the claw and puts one of the halves in his mouth. With the apple in his mouth he manages to answer himself.)

ECKS: "Although I've been lookin' around town and if I forget again tomorrow there's always this really nice Chinese place that delivers. Or even a pizza place if you prefer that."

[Nightcat]

(Liz looks over at ECKS and smirks)

Liz: For now, delivery is my one and only option. Until we find a way to disguise me, I am stuck in the house. I have had enough screaming people to last me the rest of me life. And as for which food it get, I have never had either.

(She gives both of her dinnermates a nervous smile. She looks back over at ECKS and sends him a small message.)

Liz: Do not worry. If you want to talk to me about what happened in your study, we can do it later.

[ECKS]

(Using the link he sends back a message. He closes his eyes to concentrate, being that he's not yet as good at this as Nightcat.)

ECKS: It's somethin' happened a long time ago. It's the reason I had the nightmares at Mason's mansion and the reason I'm still havin'em. But sorry, Liz, it's also something I gotta deal with on my own. I can't risk endangering anyone else for my own personal problems.

(Opening his eyes again he turns back to Rogue and Nightcat.)

ECKS: "I'm gonna go clean up, been a long day for me. If anyone needs anything, you guys know where to find me."

(ECKS turns and quietly leaves the room. He heads down the hall and into the elevator. He takes it to the second floor and makes his way into his room.)

[Nightcat]

(Liz looks after ECKS as he closes the door and sends him a word of comfort.)

Liz: Gute Nacht mien Freund. I understand. Sleep well.

(Liz turns her attention to the girl standing across from her.)

Liz: So, your name ist Rogue, ja, what is your power? Mine is teleportation and telepathy, but for some reason, my only telepathic link is to ECKS. You two seem to know each other. He mentioned the X-men. Does that mean that you know the man known as Nightcrawler? Ist that why you were not afraid of me? I know I talk a lot, but I like to be friendly to people who do not show fear at the sight of me.

(Liz gives a nervous smile and swings her tail back and forth like a cat as she waits for Rogue to respond. )

[Nightcat]

(Suddenly, Liz puts her hands to her head and falls to the ground, screaming.)

Liz: GET OUT OF MY MIND!!!!! WHAT IST HAPPENING??? WHO ARE YOU? MIEN GOTT, MIR HELFEN!!!!

[Rogue]

Rogue: What's wrong sugah?

(Rogue walks over to Liz rolling back and forht on the ground. She opens to com-link with ECKS)

Rogue:ECKS get your butt back here now. Someting is wrong with Liz.

[Nightcat]

(Liz slowly stops thrashing, but she still keeps her hands on her head. She in crying profusely and is breathing heavily. She had seen the flashes of what had happened between the girl and ECKS, but had now idea about where they had come from. She opens her eyes and sees Rogue squating on the floor next to her. Rogue starts as Liz suddenly throws her arms around Rogue's neck, crying into her shoulder and praying in German.)

Liz: Gott, Was überhaupt geschehieht ich ist, mir helfen, mit ihm fertig zu werden. Guidence und Frieden bitte schicken mir. Im heiligen Namen deines Sohns bete ich. Amen. Was ist happening to me.

[ECKS]

(After leaving his office ECKS starts heading back to his room when he hears a commotion in the kitchen between Nightcat and Rogue. He rushes in to see what's happened. Still soaked from being outside he kneels down beside Rogue.)

ECKS: "What happened!? What's wrong with her? Talk to me."

...

[Nightcat]

(Liz looked up at ECKS with tears streaming down her face. Her Brillant green eyes locking with his soft, dark brown ones. Panting heavily, she spoke to him)

Liz: Who... was... she? I... saw... and felt... everything. Ineed to get ... control of myhead.

(She tries to stand but collapes back to the floor. She curls into a ball of indigo with her tail wraped around EKCS's wrist and trys to clear her head.)

[Rogue]

Rogue: What is happenen ta her. . .why is she having flash of yah and some woman

(Rogue walks over and and tries to console Liz. She looks up at ECKS)

Rogue: What did ya do ta her

[ECKS]

(Still trying to calm Nightcat down ECKS turns to Rogue and tries his best to explain.)

ECKS: "Liz and I have some kind of psychic bond, we're not sure how it started or even how it works, really. But sometimes she sees things that I see. I was attacked in my room earlier... some woman dressed all in black. I think she was searchin' for me or somethin'.

(ECKS stops and looks back to Nightcat for a second before continuing.)

ECKS: "Or like she was workin' for someone who's searchin' for me. But I can't be sure yet. She's never been this bad before, though. And I don't know how to bring her out of it."

[Nightcat]

(Liz listens to the sound of Rogue's and ECKS's voices as though through a dense fog. She can hear ECKS's thoughts racing, not knowing what to do. She slow uses the link to try to "talk")

Liz: All I need is you to calm down. Both your thoughts and emotions are linked to me. As long as you are riled, I cannot clear my head. And an asprin wouldn't hurt either.

(She had spoken the last words aloud without meaning to and laughed nervously as she felt her head start to clear.)
