"Meeting" the Danger Room

(After ECKS left the room Evelina stated)

Evelina: All personnel not taking part in the simulation should now relocate to the observation deck

(After everyone that was leaving left, she continued)

Evelina: Full simulation commencing; automatic timers engaged; proceed at will.

(As soon as Evelina said that Varalf brought his staff up and put his training head on it)

Varalf: Let us begin


(The room seems to shake, then blurs and turns into the living room of the mansion above them.

Varalf: Chto!? What is going on?

Binary: The simulation, I'm not sure what's going on, hold on let me find out.

(Binary then walks up to what appears to be a television screen and puts his hand against it and connects.)

Binary: Evelina?,

Computer: Invalid User name

Binary: User name? oh, ummm......Administator

Computer: Password

Binary: Password, password.....ummm.......Evelina

Computer: Invalid Password, try again

Binary: umm........Mutants

Computer: Invalid Password, try again

Binary: ummm...........Equality

Computer: ........Access Granted, Welcome Professor

Binary: umm....status report

Computer : All conditions green, no alar......Intruder Alert, Intruder Alert, Intruder Alert

(A red light pops out of the ceiling and begins to flash as a klaxon blares)

Binary: um...Silence all alarms, status of intruders?

Computer: Intruders currently in kitchen, two individuals detected, armament consists of nine millimeter handguns; Tungsten Steel knives; Automatic Rifles, Kalashnikov 1947

Binary : Sh1t

Computer : invalid command

Binary : umm........new program, after audio command "kill lights" deactivate all lights. verify program

Computer: After receiving audio command "Kill lights" deactivate lights in all rooms

Binary: program verified...logoff

(He disconnects from the computer and turns to Varalf)

Binary: okay, here's whats going on..... there are two intruders with 9 mils, AK47's and knives in the kitchen. I have no weapons and no training, but I can kill the lights at anytime, can you operate in darkness?

Varalf: Da, I can, can you fight?

Binary: No, i have no weapons nor training

Varalf: Hrrmf.....Americans...I will teach you after this, da?

Binary: yeah, all right.......well, let's do this

(They walked to the kitchen and prepared to move in when they heard the intruders talking)

Intruder 1: These d@mn Mutants......i can't wait 'till I kill me a mutie

Intruder 2: Yeah, I know what you mean I found out that my neighbor, you know, the one with all the cats, was actually talking to them......with her mind! Just imagine what would have happened if I hadn't shot her when I got a chance! I mean, She was thirteen, imagine what she might have done when she became older!

(Varalf and Binary turn to each other, see and recognize the anger filling the other's gaze, then rise as one and burst through the door. As Varalf's spear flies through the air to impale the second intruder, Binary yells)

Binary: KILL LIGHTS!!!

(As the lights shut off, the second intruder falls to the floor screaming in pain. The first intruder lets loose a volley of gunfire in the direction of the door, catching Varalf in the leg.)

Varalf: AHHHH!!!!!

(Binary rushes forward only to be hit in the face by the last remaining intruder. As he writhes on the floor in pain, the intruder draws his pistol and points it directly at the center of Binary's face.)

Intruder 1: he he he.......finally get me a mutie......

(As the intruder squeezes his finger, Binary 'reaches' out to the microwave and shakes as he hears a bang. Realizing that he is still alive, he opens his eyes to find that the microwave had exploded into the intruder's face. As the dead man fell forward Evelina stated)

Evelina: Program terminated

(The surroundings blurred, then focused back into the danger room. as Binary looked around, he noticed Varalf still on the floor......still with a hole in his leg, he turns up to the Observation deck and screams)

Binary: I NEED HELP DOWN HERE!!!!!! (he points at Varalf) HE'S HURT!!!!!!

[Nightcat]

(Liz sees that Varalf has fallen and rushes out to the boys with her first-aid kit. She falls to her knees as she reaches Varalf.)

Liz: Let me see es.

(Varalf complys and Liz takes a better look at the wound.)

Liz: Gute zing zat only ze wounds remain und not ze bullets. Und es ist not a through und through. I just need to serilze es und wrap es.

(She opens up the kit and takes out an alcohol bottle, gauze, and Bandage tape. She undoes the bottle top, soaks some of the gauze in it, and holds it above the wound.)

Liz: Zis vill hurt.

Varalf: I am ready.

(Liz places the alcohol-soaked gauze onto the wound and Varalf grits his teeth, but he does not make any sound. As soon as the wound is clean, Liz wraps Varalf's leg and secures the gauze with the tape.)

Liz: Zere. At least es vill be clean until your healing factor kicks in. Just take es easy.

(She looks between the two boys.)

Liz: By ze vay, very impressive. You (She indicates Kevin) vill be very useful soon.

[Oracle]

Christina: Wow. This session just blew mine out of the water. I'm kind of scared now. I don't know if I want to do another session with that thing... I mean Evelina... running something like that.

(She looks at Kevin.)

Christina: Well, that was awesome. Much more advanced than anything I can do.

[binary]

Binary: Thank you.

(he turns to Varalf)

Binary are you sure your going to be okay?

Varalf: Da, I will be fine. Perhaps we should go talk to ECKS now and see what he wants, Da?

[Nightcat]

(Liz puts her hands on her hips as she stares down at Varalf.)

Liz: Are you sure zat you can valk vith your leg in zat condition? If not, I can fetch a vheelchair or I can teleport you up to ze office. Vhich do you vant to do?

[Varalf]

(Varalf tests his leg out, and after discovering that although it hurts, it doesn't hurt enough to prevent him from walking, replies)

Varalf: I am fine, I can walk. Let us go hmm?

(He then leaves and walks to ECKS' office. After a while Binary follows him.)

[Oracle]

Christina: I think I'm going to go rest for a while. If you guys need me, I'll be in my room.

(Christina walks out of the danger room.)

[Nightcat]

(Liz watches the others leave before she starts to head towards the door. Before she leaves, she pauses at the treshhold.)

Liz: Gute job today Evelina. I cannot vait to see vhat else you can do.

(And with that, she heads out the door and to the elevator down the hall that does straight to Chris's office.)
