(Ryan and Varalf help avriletta into the infirmary and on to a bed, Ryan goes to set up an I.V. for her. Avriletta staggers out of his reach)
Lil'a:NO!!! *now quietly* don't.... that'll kill me. Thank you though(she looks at Ryan somberly remembering the first time they tried to stick a needle in her skin with out her permission)

(Moments later Liz arrives carrying the jars.)
Liz: Vhy did you need these?

(avriletta carefully takes the jars from her, takes a beaker, and fills them a quarter of the way full then dumps three of each color nail in each beaker. the jars fiz up and are filled to an inch below the brim with purple blood.)
lil'a: my blood is both acidic and poisonous to humans and most mutants.( avriletta now looks alittle hesitant then downs an entire beaker.)

(Liz, Ryan, and Varalf all look at Avriletta with shock and disgust as they watch her drink her own blood.)
Liz: Vas das? Vie? I...( She faints.)
Varalf:(He continues to stare with his mouth open, his face chalk-white)
Ryan: WHAT THE HECK!!!!! THAT IS DISGUSTING!!!!

(avriletta shivers knowing what must be done is beyond repulsive, then glares at Ryan)
Lil'a: like i don't know that?! this has the same effect as an iv does for you. keep in mind i'm not like any of you, My body is completely oposite of yours. get it?!
( avriletta looks away from them and picks liz up putting her in a chair)

(Suddenly Varalf slips his hand into a pocket. He pulls out a letter and hands it to Avriletta.)
Varalf: Here. This came for you today.

(avirletta looks at the sender and her heart leaps into her throat)
Lil'a: Ryan?....(he looks at her still shocked and discusted) can we have some privacy? (He nods and leaves the room)(she sinks down to the floor and starts to cry)

Lil'a: i think you of all people understand the value of family.
(she looks at the letter and then opens it and reads it's contents allowing Varalfto read too.
it read: Avriletta,
It's Emmeline. how have you been? i hope you are well. this is a difficult letter to send because mother was so dear to you. mother passed away on fridayand as you knnow grandfather has been gone for some time. i wish for you to come home and help me with everything, and maybe this time you could stay. Please come home, i need you and miss you- Emmeline)

(Varalf takes a deep breath and look down at Avrilettla.)
Varalf: I am sorry for your loss. I, too know what it is like to lose a parent. Both of mine were murdered before my eyes for crimes to the state or something like that. I, however, did not have a younger sibiling. Go and be with her. Be each others' rocks during this hard time. Just remember to be safe. We will never forget you.

(avriletta stands up and huggs him tears still quietly streaming down her face.)
Lil'a:merci mon chevalier. Je ne vous oublierai pas jamais.(she kisses him on the lips and leaves with her jars of nails and her letter. she goesinto her room, packs, then leaves the mansion finally able to go home)

(He turns back to Liz. He picks her up and sets her down on one of the beds. He then leave the room to gather his thoughts.)

(A while later, Liz wakes up in one of the beds. She sits up and looks around the room and notices that she is alone. She gets up and heads out to the DR to get her daggers.)
