All in a Days Work

[ECKS]

(A few minutes later the door to Nightcat's room opens and in walks ECKS, still carrying Nightcat. He walks over to the bed and very carefully lays her on it, then takes a step back. He stands over her, thinking.)

ECKS: "Shoulda warned ya, kid, my mind is probably the last thing you wanna get inside. Just get some sleep now, we'll figure this out later."

(He reaches over and grabs a blanket, he slowly pulls it over her then reaches over and turns off the lamp next to her bed. He quietly walks back out the door as the room fills with darkness, making sure to be extra quiet when closing the door.)

[Nightcat]

(Liz opens her eyes slightly as she hears ECKS leaving the room. She sends him a small, soft message.)

Liz: Danke mein Freund.

(And with that, she falls into a deep sleep.)

[Nightcat]

(A few hours later Liz wakes up to a scream. She jumps out of bed and, thinking about the Entrance area, teleports in a flash of smoke.)

[Nightcat]

(Liz arrives back in her room with a soft BAMF, pads over to her bed, and passes out onto it, feeling comfortable and falling into a deep and restful sleep.)
