(ECKS hits the ground in the hangar and quickly gets back to a standing position. He takes a look around, sniffing the air. On first sight he can't seen any signs of anyone in this room.)
ECKS: "As cliche as it sounds, there's just no place like home."
(He looks back up to the hole and taps his earpiece.)
ECKS: (to the group)"Ok, guys. So far, so good. Hop on down and we'll go from here."

(Kitty jumps down and lands on her feet in a crouched position. She stands up as Lockheed flies down the secret entrance and lands on her shoulder.)

ECKS: "Next stop is my office, once we're there I'm gonna check the security scanner, while I'm doing that you two scout ahead and find out if what kind of damage was done to the mansion. Report back to me through your headsets if you run into any trouble. And if I find anything I'll let you guys know. The students can stay in my office until we make sure the place is safe."
(After leaving the hangar ECKS walks to his office elevator, he presses the button and a few seconds later the door opens. He stands aside to let everyone else in first.)

(Inside ECKS' office, some of the files have been opened and read but the computer from first glance seems to still be operational. ECKS quickly goes to the computer and starts the scan.)
ECKS: "I'm gonna start checking, I'll let everyone know if I come across any unwanted guests."

( Varalf hears someone coming and then recognizes the breathing pattern and sees avriletta turn corner and the others tense up at seeing but not recognizing her.)
Lil'a : what!? oh yeah i forgot to mention i have this thing where once a year for a week i turn human.

(Suddenly a telepathic message rings in the lower levels.)
Liz: Everyone. I am truly sorry that I left you. If I did not return to the Sandstormers vhen I did, I vould have been killed for treason. Do not try to save me. If you do, I vill be killed.

(The telepathic message rings loudly in ECKS' thoughts, he holds his hands over his ears and grunts as he bears the pain from the unexpected message. He looks to the people in the room with him, then with a heavy heart repeats the bad news.)
ECKS: "She's gone. Liz is gone. She says if we come for her, they'll kill her."
(For a second we see a somewhat softer side to the normally hard as nails "Adamantium man." But for the moment he blocks it out and finishes the security check. He taps his ear piece again.)
ECKS: "Mansion seems clear. It's safe for everyone to come back in again."
(Even though successful in getting his students and friends back home, losing both Sonima and Nightcat, as well as Nox, wear him down. He drops into his seat. His team once again proved that they can handle anything but the cost of this last battle was too great for him. He knows he has to move on from this and be strong for his fellow teammates, but for right now all he wants is to be alone.)

(lil' a is startled by the telepathic message, but notices ECKS reaction and shakes her own off.)
Lil' a : well................ are y'all hungery 'cuz i know I am;(nervous) who wants tempura? c'ony'all need yur strength.(every one but ECKS follows her down to the kitchen and eats everything sh made. she later noticed ECKS' abscence and brought him a large plate and left him to eat it in peace)

(Suddenly what seems to be a perfect replica of Liz appears in front of ECKS. Liz knows that only he can see her, she has no worries. She walks over to him and sits in front of him, but keeps her head down so he cannot see her dead eyes. She places a hand on ECKS's shoulder and he jumps and looks up. When he sees that it is Liz, he tries to hug her, but she backs away.)
Liz(through telepathy(in flat, monotonous voice)): Do not. I have come because I felt your pain.
(She finally looks up and ECKS finally sees her eyes. They are no longer the emerald green, the green that could see right through you, that he is used to, but rather a light sage green. All life is gone from them. ECKS backs away at the sight of them.)
ECKS: What's happened to you? What have they done?
Liz(flat voice): Nothing. Absolutly nothing. I have just lost all vill. The only thing that stops me from killing myself is that I can still use my telepathy to see you. You are the only one that I can do this vith. I just wanted to say a real auf Wiedersehen.I know that it ist hard to accept it, but I truly do not know vhat they vant me for. I only hope that I can give you the answer soon. This link vill still be here if you need or vant to talk. Auf Wiedersehen mein Freund and good luck.
ECKS: No! Please don't go! What am I supposed to tell the others about what has happened to you?
Liz: Just tell them the I vill return at some point. I just don't know vhen.
(And with that, the image of Liz fades, leaving ECKS alone, once again, in the hanger)

(Rogue walks into the hangar and looks over at ECKS.)
Rogue: Its not ya fault sugah, no more then its mine they got Nima. We will get them back sugah. Part of them that is good still remains or we woulda neva made it outta there alive. Ah know deep down that they will return ta us ECKS. It seems as though the worse had happened but somehow we are gonna make it through this and they will come back. Our main concern now is why they are tryin ta awakenin the demon in Nox and ta try and save him.
