4:48 p.m.
(After another hour or so of traveling ECKS comes to a rising, ending in a small cliff. At the bottom, some 20 feet down, sees something several feet ahead of him that is a little out of place. He moves closer to see tire tracks, still fresh. Noticing how steep the side is he decides there's only one way down, he extracts both sets of claws, stands at the very edge and hops off, reaching both arms backward both sets of claws act as a way of slowing his decent. Close to the bottom he brings both claws out of the side and drops the last few feet.)
ECKS: "That wasn't so bad."
(He quickly wipes the little bit of dirt from his claws before replacing them and walks to the tracks. He bends down to take a closer look and wipes away some of the snow to reveal a hidden road. A road probably not on any map headed to a place that also is not on any map.)
ECKS: "This could be exactly what I'm looking for. There'd have to be a road to this place for supplies and this guy took after Stryker so he'd want it to be hidden. And even if this ain't it it's still goin' in my direction. Now if only..."
(As if almost on cue ECKS can hear the sound of a very large diesel engine, like the kind found in large trucks. Like cargo trucks. Judging by the sound and his own ability to hear, the truck is still several minutes away so he has plenty of time to react. He pops his claws out once again and uses them to scale the side of the rising. Once at the top he crouches down and waits for the truck. As soon as it comes into site he takes several steps back. Using his hearing to determine where the truck is, he waits for a second, then, when he is sure of the timing he starts running for the edge. At the edge he leaps off, arms and claws extended, and after a short free fall lands on top of the container sitting atop the truck's trailer. The top is covered in snow and ECKS starts to slip, so he uses his claws to stop himself from sliding off. Once steady, he retracts his claws once again.)
ECKS: "Wouldn't that a'been pretty. Me splattered all over the snow. In this for the long haul now, might as well get comfortable."
(Sitting in the center of the container ECKS pulls the hood out from the jacket under his leather jacket and covers his head with it. The truck moves on, completely unaware of it's new stowaway.)
