Finding the way

[Wolf]

(A few hours later, Chaze opens his eyes. He's lying on the king sized bed and Liz is lying right against him. She's still in her human form and he gazes at her lovingly. He strokes her soft skin and kisses her above the brow.
He gently and carefully gets out of bed and goes back into the bathroom. He closes the door and looks at himself in the mirror. He takes a deep breath and snaps his nose back into place. A sickening crunch follows and he can't help but curse. He picks his head up and sighs. His long dark hair is hanging around his head and blinding him a bit. He stands up straight and goes back into the shower. He takes a long hot shower to rinse away the dried blood and sweat. A few pieces of glass fall from his cuts, and he sweeps them away. As he showers, he grabs a pair of scissors and starts cutting his hair. When he's finally finished, he dresses in a pair of loose jeans and a white shirt. He sighs and pulls a handgun from his bag and slips it into his Weapon X jacket. As he leaves the bathroom, shaven and with hari that only reaches his brow, he sees Liz still sleeping. He goes over to her and kisses her.)

Wolf: I'll be back in the morning. I promise.

[Nightcat]

(Liz just barely feels Chaze kiss her good-bye. Somehow she manages to wriggle underneath the covers and go back to a deep sleep. This time no nightmares came to desturbe her. The only thing that she was vaguly aware of, was that she was the only one in the bed.)

[Wolf]

(Chaze enters into the lobby and spots the clerk leaving the desk and entering a room. Chaze starts after her, but two guards stop him in his tracks.)

Guard 1: Sir, we're supposed to take you in. Please, don't do anything rash.

Wolf: I promise.

(Wolf punches out one of the guards, and the other one goes for his gun. Chaze tackles the guard and knocks him to the ground. He punches the guard again and again and then grabs the unconscious guard's nightstick. He spins and blocks the other's swing with the nightstick. As the guard circles Chaze he spins his nightstick in his hand, weaving it in and out of his fingers and twirling it gracefully.)

Guard 2: Don't do it.

Wolf: Oh, what? I'm gonna do it. Where am I? Where are you? I dunno. Look, it's Lindsay Lohan!

(The guard doesn't look, so Wolf attacks. As the two block and strike at each other with the billyclubs, Wolf sees the clerk come out of the room with Thomas Kutal.)

Wolf: Oh hell no.

(Wolf ducks underneath a blow and does a leg sweep to knock the guard to the floor. As he falls, Wolf hits him in the forehead with the billy club and knocks him out. Wolf then turns his attention to Kutal.)

Wolf: Thomas!

(Kutal spins and sees Wolf. He pulls a Magnum and points it at Wolf. Chaze jumps behind a pillar as Thomas starts filling the air with bullets.)

[Nightcat]

(Liz snaps awake and sees that Chaze is not in the room. She quickly changes back into her normal form and grabs her swords. She strains to hear what is happening down below and she hears gun shots. She gasps once and runs out of the door. Liz stops at Ryders body and grabs the gun that is still on it, then she vanishes. She lands in the lobby two pillars away from Chaze.)

Liz: Vhen are ve ever going to catch a break?

(She points the gun around the pillar and shoots on of the guards, hitting him in the knee cap.)

[Wolf]

Wolf: I wish I could tell you.

(A round slams into the pillar right in front of him causing debris to fly in his eyes. Wolf curses and starts wiping it out when he hears a deep throated snarl. He glances out and sees a Theta. It's cannon arm is wrapped with gauze and wires, as if it were in the process of being repaired. It sees Wolf and lets out another howl. Wolf now instantly recognizes it. The same Theta that had defeated him in Egypt. As Chaze dwells on this, he realizes that the shooting has stopped. He looks out to see Kutal standing behind the Theta grinning.)

Kutal: Ok, ok. I have no idea how you keep coming back Wolf, but it has to stop here. No more resurrections for you. Now, we can settle this like men or we can act like fools. What do you want?

(Chaze looks at Liz and sees her taking cover behind the pillar. He sighs and steps out from the cover. He throws his gun to the side and changes into his wolf form. He glances back at Liz and taps his temple to indicate he wants to communicate telepathically.)

"You get Kutal, I'll get the monster."

(Kutal turns and hurries away with the soldiers following closely behind. The band enter into three different Hummers and take off. The Theta roars and Wolf lowers his claws.)

[Nightcat]

(Liz hands the gun to her tail and drops to her hands and feet. Unlike Wolf, she has no intent of killing anyone, she just wants out of this new fight alive. She rushs out from behind the pillar and runs at Kutal in a galloping motion. He shoots at her several times but she dodges them every time. As she draws near him, she shoots a single bullet past him left ear as a distraction. As he turns his head to see where the bullet went, Liz leaps at him and tackls him to the ground. She punches him in the face a few times, breaking his nose in the process and he lets out a cry of pain.
Somehow, he manages to get his feet under her to throw her off. She hits the wall on her hands and feet. Quickly, she crawls up the wall and out of his sight. Her tail hands her the gun and she aims, and shoots. This time the bullet hits it's mark. It peirces the skin right above his right knee. As he drops to the ground in pain Liz comes out of her hiding spot. She grabs some rope that had bee behind the desk and she rushes to Kutal's side. Before he has a chance to react, she binds him and takes his weapons. She stands and looks around for Wolf.)

Liz: Chaze! Vhere are you?

[Wolf]

(Wolf snarls and points his claw at the Theta.)

Wolf: I want you pal.

(The Theta rushes Wolf and he leaps out of the way, but not before slashing the Theta's side. He lands on his knees and runs after the slowing monster. The Theta spins and catches Wolf in midair by the throat. Wolf, not wanting a repeat of the earlier assassin attack, goes crazy and starts slashing at everything and everywhere. One of his claws scrapes across the Theta's eyes, putting out one of it's four. As the monster releases Wolf, it stumbles backward. Chaze takes the opportunity to rush the beast and slams into it. Using all of his strength, Wolf picks up the monster and runs into a pillar with it. The pillar breaks and the two are rained upon by marble and steel. Wolf ignores the pain of the raining debris and continues with the monster in tow. As the Theta roars, Wolf slams into a wall and lets the Theta go. The monster falls down and Wolf shoves his claws into the beast's chest. The monster roars and grabs Chaze's head and squeezes. He can faintly hear the ding as the elevator door closes and the two continue to fight in the constricted space.)

[Nightcat]

(Liz can see that Wolf has his paws full with the Theta. Suddenly a shot rings out behind her and she teleports away. She land behind a soldier and punches him in the back in the neck, breaking it. She turns to see about fifteen soldiers standing around in a simi-circle in a grassy area outside the entrance to the hotel. She sighs loudly.)

Liz: Give me a break.

(She runs at the soldiers as the open fire on her. she dodges all of them although some where very close calls. Her tail reaches down and withdraws one of the swords. As she runs buy the soldiers she slashes at thier knees and ankles. The three that drop are covered by the others but she has plans for them. Teleporting to meet them, she lands right behind them, grabbing one with her tail and swing him to knock three others out. In the process, she snaps the neck of the man she was swinging and severly injuring the others. She then turns her attention to the eight soldiers that are now surrounding her. Withdrawing both of her swords, manages to slash at every man that came at her. Sticking one sword into the ground, she kicks the soldiers that are comming at her. Many of them are getting hit in the ribs and sternum, causing them to snap and puncture their hearts and lungs. She withdraws the swords and plunges them into the stomach to one man. As he falls to the ground, another shot rings out and this time the bullet hits her thigh. She turns around, her eyes now bloodred and her hair black.)

Liz(Nur): You simple human. Do you know who I am? I am En Sabar Nur!

(Liz raised her hands and the three remaining men disintigrate in the fashion that Pheonix killed the soliders at Alcatraz. As soon as the killing ended, Liz took off back into the hotel. She sheaths her swords and looks around for Wolf.)

[Wolf]

(As the elevator ascends to the top, Theta and Wolf continue thier bloody brawl. Wolf is being shoved into the wall and choked once more. His eyes flash and he hears a voice inside of his mind.)

Nur: Looks as if you need a bit more power there Chaze.

"I don't need you. I don't need anyone."

(Apocalypse lets Wolf force him away as Theta roars in his face. Wolf shoves his claws into the theta's jaw an turns. The monster slams Wolf's head into the wall, and the two continue to struggle. As they do, the elevator doors open and a little kid looks into the elevator. Both Wolf and Theta stop their fighting and look at the boy. His eyes are drooping and he looks as if he just woke up. Wolf smiles at him.)

Chaze: Hey champ, what are you doing up so late?

(The boy fully wakes up and looks at the two of them. He screams and takes off back down the hall. As the elevator doors close, Wolf and Theta look at each other. A second later, they start fighting again. As they get to the top floor, Wolf shoves the Theta out and tackles him. The two fall to the floor and start fighting once more. Wolf extends his claws as far as they can go, and pushes down as hard as he can. The Theta holds his arms at bay, not giving up an inch. Finally, Wolf headbutts the monster, but it hurts him more than anyone, and the Theta kicks him off. Wolf flies through a door and into a vacant room. He lands hard on his back and as he gets to his feet, he sees the Theta rushing him. The beast slams into Wolf and knocks him out of the window behind him. Wolf's last sight of the Theta is the beast grinning through a bloody mouth and then Wolf plummets to the earth, thirty stories below.)

[Nightcat]

(Liz hears the crash and rushes outside.)

Liz(Nur): No! You will not die today!

(Liz teleports up to meet Wolf in the air. She grabs him then teleports away only to land in the grassy area where the soldiers still lay dead. Suddenly, both Liz and Chaze hear the cocking of a gun. Liz turns to see that Kutal had gotten out of his bindings. Apocalpse withdraws to the back of Liz's mind and her hair and eyes return to their normal colors.)

Liz: Oh great. Vas do you vant know?

[Wolf]

(Wolf shakes off the disorientation from the teleportation and looks at Kutal. The man is holding a large Sig Saur in his hands and pointing the barrel at Liz's head. Wolf taps Liz on the knee and she looks at him. He whispers to her.)

Wolf: Give me your gun, but be subtle.

(Wolf senses Liz's tail move and the cold metal of the gun's barrel touches Wolf's hand. He takes it from Liz's tail and stands in front of her.)

Wolf: Come on Kutal. Let's end this once and for all.

(Wolf stands before Thomas as he lowers his gun. They circle each other and then stop. Wolf catches his breath and they both raise their guns. One shot is fired and one body falls down.)

[Nightcat]

(Liz backed up and Kutal came to stand in front of her. She moves to off to one side and she flinches, clenching her eyes shut, as she heard the gun shot and they flew open when she heard the body fall. She look down and saw Kutal on the ground. She look over at Chaze.)

Liz: Vhy did you shoot him? Ve could have made him tell us vhere ze stupid base vas.

[Wolf]

(Wolf doesn't answer her, but instead makes his way over to Kutal and rolls him over. He groans and clutches his side. Wolf can see the bullet slammed into his side and exited the other end without killing or hitting any vital organs.)

Wolf: Where's Smith?

Kutal: I hope you rot in hell.

(Wolf rolls his eyes and shoves the gun against Kutal's palm.)

Wolf: You're going to tell me or I'm going to blow every single one of your fingers off and then I'm going to blow a hole in your hands.

(Kutal groans and lays back.)

Kutal: Omega Base is in Pheonix Arizona. That's where you'll find Matthews, I don't know if Smith is still there.

(Wolf stands up and looks at Liz. He picks up Kutal's gun and takes his cell phone on his belt.)

Wolf: I'm giving you a chance to live Thomas. Please take it. Go home, give your wife a hug if you have one. Live like you've not got another day. Because if I ever see you on this earth past this night, I will strike you dead. You can count on that.

[Nightcat]

(Liz looks up at Wolf and nods once. In a flash she teleports away. She returns in a few minutes caring the bags. Dropping them beside Wolf, she picks up her swords and one of the guns from the dead soldier. She also goes through their wallets and takes whatever cash is on them. She then returns to Wolf)

Liz: Ready vhen you are.

[Wolf]

(Wolf nods to Liz and looks down at Kutal.)

Wolf: Now get out of here.

(Thomas gets to his feet and stumbles away. Wolf sighs and turns to Liz. He can see she's a bit troubled and hugs her.)

Wolf: You thought I had killed him didn't you. Well, I wanted to. Nothing would have made me happier than to see him dead. But you wouldn't have killed him, would you. I'm not a killer Liz, I'm just trying to get my life back in order. Radar will be the last one. He'll be the last death.
