Starting over again...

[Oracle]

(Christina steps off of the bus and walks into the station. After transferring on three different buses, she feels extremely tired and wants to find a place to rest as soon as possible. She looks cautiously through her newly purchased sunglasses to see if anyone has seen through her disguise. Besides the sunglasses, Christina has bought some temporary hair dye to change her natural dirty blonde hair to a dark brown. Everyone seems to be paying no mind to her, so Christina walks through the station and out into the streets. Christina sighs deeply. She thought that once her powers were gone, she would feel different, better than before. But she still feels excluded from everyone, different, and in hiding once again.)

(Christina looks through tourists' brochures and the local newspaper to find a place to stay. She sees a motel and decides that it would suit her for the time being. She goes to the motel and gets a room paying with cash and signing under a false name, her mother's, Sabrina Collins. Once she gets into her room, she looks in the mirror to see she does resemble her mother with her new dark brown hair. Christina hardly remembers her mother and misses her dirty blonde hair that she inherited from her father. She throws her bag and other things on the bed and goes to take a shower. When she comes out, she feels a bit better to have her natural hair color. She doesn't feel like she's hiding anymore. Once she settled, she begins looking in the want ads for a job when her drowsiness overcomes her and she falls asleep. Before she drifts, she remembers that she won't have a vision of the horrible night. With that, Christina falls asleep with a peaceful look.)

[Oracle]

(Life has returned to some sense of normancy for Christina in the past week. She had a place to live, food to eat, and a job that pays the bills. She was just making by, but still it kept her busy. She had thought about going back to school, but that meant getting her records from New York where she was known as "Christina Collins" and now she was "Sabrina" of San Francisco. Although enough time had passed and the public had forgotten the wanted mutant so Christina didn't have to dye her hair anymore to hide herself, she was still hiding.)

(Christina walks home one night after work from a local diner a few blocks from her small motel apartment. She pulls her rubber band holding her ponytail and lets her long, dirty-blonde hair flow down. As she continues to walk, she looks out into the bay and sees the local landmark, Alcatraz Island, the birthplace of the cure. Christina stops in her journey home and finds herself thinking about the choice she made once again. She had taken the cure so Smith couldn't use her to bring back Apocalypse, but she had also taken it so she wouldn't cause anymore trouble for her new friends. It was for the best that she ran away. They had enough troubles, but still Christina misses them a lot. They were the closest people that Christina could count on, and previously she always had to defend for herself. Now she was on her own again, without any powers, completely human... Just what she always wanted.)

Christina: Then why I'm not happy?

(Christina has asked herself that questions many times since she had taken the cure. But she dropped the thought and continued on her way home with the same statement she always said to try and convince herself.)

Christina: It was for the best.
