Owens: Here she is sir. The Kilington U-19 Shredder.
(Matthews looked over the sleek aircraft. It had the same build as a B-3, but its finish was a solid black and its turrets and missiles were cleverly hidden. Matthews grinned from ear to ear. The mutants had their jet, he had the Shredder.)
Owens: So sir, do you really need half of the Foxtrot's Armory?
(Matthews grinned, not takeing his eyes off of the Shredder.)
Radar: Yeah, I kinda really do.
(Radar had left Catoire in Pheonix and had taken the Apache all the way to Canada. Alpha Base was located there, and lucky him, Smith thought he was dead. Matthews had easily gained entrance to Alpha Base, stocked up on every type of gun he could shoot, and was about to beat the X-Men to Egypt. In any case, he needed to beat them there. This was his fight just as much as theirs. Radar nodded to Owens who looked behind him. Owens nodded to the soldiers in the control room who brought the Shredder online. Matthews turned to Owens.)
Radar: Thanks a lot man. By the way, how's Julie?
Owens: Oh, she's good. She's pregnant, seven months now.
Radar: Hey congrats. I'll give you some advice huh. Get out of here while you still can.
(The two laughed but as Radar turned to leave, he sent out a brain wave that would plant the idea in Owens' head for good. Owens, like many of the other soldiers, was a good man. All he wanted to do was earn a decent living for his family. He wasn't out to destroy mutants, he was just a common man. Radar bends down and grabs his two duffel bags loaded with ammo. As he enters the Shredder, he takes the pilot's seat and the hangar door opens.)
Radar: I'm getting way too old for this sh!t.
(The Shredder's thrusters come online and Radar takes a deep breath. If what they said about this thing was true, he would be in Egypt in less than ten minutes. God, he hoped they were exaggerating.)
Radar: Oh man, I wish I were---
(The Shredder shot out of Alpha Base and Radar screamed at the top of his lungs.)
