(The room is dark and quiet until... BAMF!! Liz land right in front of the door and walks over to the computer. As she approaches the console, she returns to her human form. Typing in the access codes, She pulls up the videos of the fights that had occured several days ago. She pulls up a chair and starts to review them as she waits for the others to turn up.)

(Kitty is walking down the hall to the briefing room when Lockheed joins her and perches on her shoulder. Kitty stops and looks at Lockheed.)
Shadowcat: Is it true? Christina's gone?
(Lockheed lowers his head and growls softly.)
Shadowcat: What happened to make her decide to leave?
(Through a pyschic connection between the two, Lockheed is able to share the events that took place while she was in the subbasement.)
Shadowcat: She took the cure, too?! *groans* This could only go from bad to worse. And I have a feeling by what Liz is going to share about what happened in Egypt, it is going to get worse.
(Kitty continues to walk down the hall and enters the briefing room. She sees Liz reviewing the tapes of the fight after she was taken by Wolf. Kitty stands amazed seeing Liz in human form again.)
Shadowcat: Wow, you can change into your human form now?
(Liz nods her head and continues watching the video. Kitty pulls a chair and sits down next to her.)
Shadowcat: To save you some time... About after you were captured, the soldiers began to leave, but they left behind a "friend" for ECKS. It was some grotesque monster that was only concerned with fighting him, but eventually, ECKS kills it. Then Jack, Ana, and I went into the subbasement so Jack could use Cerebro to find you. And while we were down there, Magneto talked Christina into taking the cure and running away from the mansion.

(Liz listens to Kitty, never taking her dead eys off the screens. She still will only respond with her mind. Even in Kitty's mind, Liz's voice is dead and monotonous.)
Liz: I know. I just finished vatching ze tape zat showed Christina taking ze cure. Oh, und zat creature vas called a Theta. Trust me, zose zings are hard to fight.
(Liz turns her head to lock eyes with Kitty. Oddly enough, she seems to have lost the need to blink.)
Liz: I vill tell ze team vas happened zere vhen zey all get here.

(Mindcontrol enters the briefing room and finds Liz and Kitty. noticing that Liz is in human form he begins tom wonder even more of what had occurred while she was in Egypt)

(Liz turns in her seat to face Jack. Once again, her lack of needing to blink is noticeable.)
Liz: After I vas hit vith a second temporary form of ze cure. I vill explain more vhen Ana und Chris show up.

(After waiting for several minutes, Liz makes up her mind to make this a "Conference Briefing". She stands up and uses her telepathy to send her debrifing out to Ana and Chris.)
Liz: Ok. Enough waiting. I am in pain und I vant to get zis over vith. Everyvone knows zat I fought vith ze mutant verevolf a few days ago und zat he took me avay. At ze time he vas fighting me, he vas under ze control of some kind of serum. Es vore off after I cut off ze source. After I fainted, he took me to Smith at a place called Charlie Base. Ve vere going to try und pass me off as Christina. Smith und anozer mutant code-named Radar saw zrough ze act und tried to kill both of us, but I managed to save us. Ve tried to escape into ze voods near ze base but Smith sent 15 soldiers out to scout ze area. Volf und I managed to kill all of zem und take some of zier money so ve could try und follow Radar und Smith to Egypt. However, during ze fight, I vas hit vith anozer cure dart und zis caused a further mutation. I can now change back und forth between mein normal, furry form und a human form.
(Liz takes stops sending for a second to take a few deep breaths and to make sure they heard her. After a few moments, she begins again.)
Liz: Volf und I made our vay to JFK airport, vere ve met a man named Thomas Kutal. As far as I know, ve left ze man dead. Ze two of us boarded ze plane und started to make our vay to Egypt. Vonce zere, ve got a hotel und rested for ze nacht. Vhe got up ze next day und ve set out to find Radar und Smith. Ve found Radar no problem. He had sent anozer Theta to kill a human for an unknown reason. Eizer vay, Volf und I fought und killed anozer eleven men. During ze fight I managed to do zis.
(Liz points to her now very badly bruised shoulder.)
Liz: Zen ve took on ze Theta. I vent after es vith mein swords und managed to mangle es pretty bad before es took a sving at me. I flew back about 50 yard und vas knocked unconsious. Ze next zing I hear is a bunch of very loud crashes. I voke up and started to make my vay over to ze fight. At zat time, I heard ze gunshot. I rushed to Volf's side, but he vas already dying. After Radar left, I made ze tomb zat you found me on for him. Und you know ze rest.
(Liz sit back down and the house goes silent once again.)

(Everyone is a bit startled by the voice, no one noticed ECKS or Ana standing in the doorway.)
ECKS: "Terrific."
(The sarcasm in his voice at that remark is quite obvious at this point.)

Liz: Ja. Zere ist still anozer Theta out zere. However if I know ze man called Radar as vell as I do, he vill have at least two more ready und vaiting to be sent out. Smith ist ze man who made ze beasts zough. Und as far as I know, ze artifact zat Radar got in Egypt vill only furzer his plans for Apocalyps' rise.

Liz: Nien. I know of no ozer plans. Alzough, I vould venture a guess zat zey are still looking for Magneto und Volverine. Und alzough Christina took ze cure, Smith vill still vant her near him. Ze cure vore off for me, maybe es vill for her.

ECKS: "Well, Magneto is outta here. No tellin' where he'd go. Christina is fine, she's used to the whole layin' low and hidin' thing. And if I need to I can track her down later, but I think for now all she needs is time. And that's what we gotta give her. As for Wolverine..."
Ana: "He's most likely at the Mansion in West Chester, we could put in a call to them, let them know what's going on and what to expect in case something comes there looking for him. Other than that, without Smith's next move we're pretty much flying blind. Which means our only move is to wait and see what his next move is."
ECKS: "Much as I hate to say it, she's right. All we can do is wait and watch, we won't know anything until he makes another move."

Shadowcat: I would say our best chance to figuring out their next step is for us to begin to think like them. Smith must have all the information about how to revive Apocalypse, and from I remember about the ancient Egyptians and their rituals, it has to be by the book. Every step that Smith is taking now is to acquire everything he needs for the ritual. For us to even have a clue what he's going to do next, we need to know ourselves what the rituals needs and how it needs to be done.

(Liz, who had been staring at the floor listening to every talk, slowly raises her head, her sage eyes wide.)
Liz: A sword.
(The word was spoken so softly telepathically, that the others almost didn't hear it. They all turned at gave Liz an odd look. She takes a moment to look around the room.)
Liz: I might be Catholic, but I used to be fasinated vith Egyptian Mythology. I remember reading about an ancient sword that was supposed to bring forth a god even more powerful zan Ra. Very few knew about ze sword esself let alone vhere es vas. Ze man zat wrote ze book vas called Ezers. However, he ist dead as vell.
(The others give Liz an even odder look.)
Liz: He vas killed back in Egypt by Radar und a bunch of ozer mutant verevolfs.

Shadowcat: Then that must mean they will use that sword to kill Christina in order to revive Apocalypse. What we still need to know is why exactly they need Chris, Ana, Magneto, and Logan.
(Kitty looks at Chris and Ana.)
Shadowcat: Is anything ringing a bell about why you guys are needed?
