(Ana thinks about it for a few minutes before answering.)
Ana: "I always just assumed that he wanted us because he implanted some piece of the puzzle to the awakening in our minds while we were his test subjects, figuring that with our powers we'd be around long enough to find all the things he needed. But he made sure that he kept it locked away so far in our subconscious that we'd never be able to access it ourselves, he'd have to bring it out of us himself. That way all he had to do if we got away at some point was find us and unlock that part of our minds."
Ana: "But it may be more than that, he may even want our powers for some reason. He didn't hesitate for a second to use the cure on Liz but he didn't dare use it on any of the four of us or Christina. I mean I control kinetic energy and have extraordinary agility because of that ability, both Chris and Logan have extremely fast healing abilities, and Magneto controls Magnetic fields, which among other things gives him the ability to fly. Maybe he wants to somehow transfer our powers to Apocalypse."
Ana: "Just a suggestion of course, I could be way off."

Mindcontrol:maybe but really think about, from what I've heard Apocalypse is an extremely powerful mutant and if he gains all your powers it won't make a difference to him. He must need both your powers and Magneto's and Wolverine's for something else.

(Liz nods her dark head and blinks her dead eyes. Her thoughts are racing and the intence pain in her shoulder is becoming unbearable. So much had happened over the last few days, they seemed to stretch for weeks. She stands there stock still of a few moments before collapsing in a heap on the ground. As she hits the floor, the break in her shoulder breaks through her skin.)

(ECKS walks over to Liz and scoops her up into his arms, then starts toward the door.)
ECKS: "I guess the meetin's over for now, I'm gonna take her up stairs. Anyone needs me, I'll be around somewhere."
Ana: "I'll help you with that."
(Ana walks over and holds the door open while ECKS carries Liz through, then follows them down the the elevator that leads up and into his office. Ana pushes the button for him and the elevator door close.)

(When Chris and Ana leave with Liz, Kitty goes over to the computer and begins to search for any information that may help them. She comes across the idea of hacking into Smith's systems and copying the information he has, but she decides to save that as plan B. She didn't want to risk Smith finding out about her hacking and sending another wave of soldiers. She begins with a search of her own on discovering anything that has to do with Apocalypse. But by just using the name "Apocalypse" brought up countless results that has nothing to do with their current situation. Kitty shakes her head and sighs.)
Shadowcat: This is going to be difficult.
(But then Kitty remembers the name Magneto had used before. She decides she would have much better use with Apocalypse's real name, En Sabah Nur.)

(Mindcontrol looks at the screen Shadowcat using. the word "Apocalypse" comes on several times, each one meaning a different thing. he walks to where Shadowcat is at. he begins to talk already knowing what she is looking for.)

Shadowcat: None using the name "Apocalypse." But I may get some better results using the name, En Sabah Nur.
(Kitty enters the name and begins a new search. She finds something that could give her some idea of Apocalypse. She pulls it up and discovers it is an archeologist's summary of translated Egyptian heiroglyphics found on an ancient scroll.)
Shadowcat: Well, this could be a start. Look at this.
(Kitty pulls the summary up so the both of them could read.)
Summary: In the harsh, unforgiving desert of ancient Egypt, ruled by Rama-Tut, a band of nomadic raiders found an infant, gray-skinned and freakish in appearance, abandoned by the settlers of Akkaba. The nomads took the child for their own, giving him the name En Sabah Nur, “The First One,” and teaching him to be the philosophy "only the strong survive" in order to survive the desert.
When En Sabah Nur was an adult, he was captured with his nomadic clan and forced into slave labor under the Grand Vizier Ozymandias. He became a rebel and was even killed by agents of Ozymandias, only to be revived soon after due to "god-like" powers. Believing himself strong and blessed, En Sabah Nur discovered Rama Tut’s technology underneath Egypt, and soon destroyed the Egyptian rulers around him and twisted Ozymadias into the being he is today. He then gave himself the name Apocalypse.
Apocalypse used Rama Tut’s technology to "regenerate" for long periods of time, becoming more and more powerful when awakening. He was also known to have traveled around the world during these ancient years, appearing to various primitive cultures as their death god. Apparently, when traveling through Mongolia, Apocalypse encountered some sort of “alien technology”. His travels then became fueled by a single-minded purpose-- to find the key that would unlock the secrets to this strange technology. He found it in the person known as Traveler. The two fought, and although Apocalypse was nearly killed, he was saved by Ozymandias and taken to the “alien craft.” Apocalypse’s blood had become infected during the battle, and the infection allowed Apocalypse to not only transform into an even more powerful being, but to also interface with the foreign craft, claiming it as his own.

Shadowcat: I don't know. It says that the technology was a mystery even to him. Who knows what it could be used for. But this fails to answer the real questions at hand... What happened that resulted in Apocalypse needing to be revived? And why is it that Chris, Ana, and everyone else are needed?

(Kitty lets out a deep sigh and continues to search some more. Then a thought crosses her mind. It's only a theory, but could it be true? She had seen it on her previous search using "Apocalypse." Maybe, but maybe she needs a second opinion.)
Shadowcat: Hey, Jack... Have you ever heard of something called "The Four Horsemen of Apocalypse"? You don't suppose that...
(She's afraid to even finish her sentence, but she knows Mindcontrol understands what she's trying to say.)

Mindcontrol: The Four Horsemen of Apocalypse are four mutants that serve loyalty to Apocalypse. There have been some cases that Apocalypse forces or manipulates mutants into joining him.
(Kitty's face turns a bit frightened of what Mindcontrol said and he know exactly why)

(Kitty and Jack's face have some fear, but now's not the time to panic.)
Shadowcat: Ok, let's not jump to conclusions... It's a theory. It could happen, but we don't know for sure. I mean, it makes sense... there's four of them and four Horsemen are needed. But we're still not 100% sure.
(Kitty tries to think of a way to find out if they're right. Her idea of hacking into Smith's computer systems comes to mind again, but still it's too risky. Then she remembers something else Magneto had done.)
Shadowcat: Remember when Magneto told Chris and Ana about Apocalypse and it seemed familiar to them... Maybe we can test this theory using the same thing. We'll go ask Chris and Ana about the four horsemen and see what they say. Worth a shot?

(Kitty, Jack, and Lockheed exits the briefing room to find Chris and Ana.)
