Weapon X Wolves

[Wolf]

(Chaze watched as the freezing desert of Antartica pulled back to reveal lush tropical trees, warm sand and a fortress in the middle of it. The helicoptor sunk and Wolf and his companions Dom and TC got out. Chaze cracked his neck and raised his rifle. He set the pace by transforming into his wolf form. As he jumped into the bush, Dom and TC followed him. The werewolves covered the landscape quickly and made their way to capture and detain Magneto.)

[Wolf]

(Chaze, Dom, and TC emerged from the bush. Each one had small cuts and scrapes on them, but the men dismissed it as nothing as they stared at Magneto's castle. To Chaze this was the same place that had jumpstarted his all ready adventurous life. He had come to this place seeking Creed and then had ended up in love, dead, possessed, and on a mission with former enemies. He'd never get it, but he wasn't complaining. Chaze dismissed the thoughts and sighed.)

Chaze: All right, we're here for Magneto. So if we don't have to kill anybody, we sure as hell won't. Got it?

[Wolf]

(Dom and TC transformed back into their human forms and grabbed their rifles from behind their backs.)

Dom: Where do you want to set up camp sir?

(Chaze was still thinking about his wild adventure and how he had gotten where he was now, when the soldier spoke to him and broke his thoughts. He spun and sighed.)

Chaze: Two clicks from here, West. Get going right now, I'll be right behind you, huh?

(Chaze's companions glanced at each other, shrugged, and turned. As they disappeared into the bush, Chaze took out his binoculars and peered through. Atop the wall pranced four of Magneto's brotherhood. They kept a close vigil, but it wasn't perfect and could be exploited. Chaze saw a big man, a veritable giant appear on the wall and place a dome-sized helmet on his head. Chaze glanced at the scanner on his arm. "Cain Marko")

Chaze: Yippie, we might have to face the Juggernaut.

(Chaze takes a deep breath in, but stops. He can smell someone who isn't a part of his team and that someone is close. Chaze transforms into his human form and creeps into the bush. He stands completely still and waits.)

[Wolf]

(Chaze spots a blue mutant in a nearby tree. He at first thinks that the contact is harmless as she only appears naked, but then her yellow eyes narrow and she presses a tiny com in her ear. Wolf had heard something about one of Creed's former associates, but he didn't know if this one was one of them. Instead, Chaze keeps his cover and watches her. He sees her descending the tree and as slow as he can, approaches her. As he nears her by ten yards, she suddenly spins. Chaze stops as the two look into the other's eyes.

The mutant is naked! She's tall and lean with a blue body and red hair. Chaze is immediatley off guard and she takes advantage of this by grabbing a nearby vine and swinging it like a chain at Chaze. The thick vine slams into Chaze's rifle and knocks it to the ground. Instinctively, Chaze morphs into his wolf form and leaps. The woman backflips to avoid being tackled and swings her whip again. This time the very end slams into Chaze's ear and cuts the pointed top off. Chaze howls in pain as he retreats a step or two. The blue mutant smiles at this and Chaze bears his teeth at her.)

Chaze: Fine lady, if it's a fight you want, you got it.

[Wolf]

(Chaze slams into a nearby tree and slinks to the ground. Warm blood runs down his face as he raises his head and lets out a silent curse. The blue woman swings the thick vine once more at Chaze. Chaze catches the vine's tip and cuts it off with his claws.)

Wolf: Dammit, I'm getting way too old for this kind of sh!t.

(Chaze climbs to his feet and spots the blue woman come running at him. Chaze dodges her kicks, but catches a punch in the snout and temple. As he falls back, the advarsary, knocks his feet out from under him and he falls to the ground before her.)

Mystique: Game over, dog-man.

(Wolf snatches up a rock and hurls it at the woman. She catches it a second before it could slam into her face and smiles down at Chaze.)

Mystique: Almost...

(Chaze snarls and slashes her ankles. As Mystique falls at his side, Chaze grabs her shoulders and rolls past her and to the side. He shoves his claws underneath her neck and presses them firmly against her throat.)

Chaze: Next time, you might get me. But for now, good night.

(Chaze uses his other paw to strike Mystique in her temple. As she falls to the ground unconscious, Chaze sighs. He rips his army clothes off and touches the nub of his ear. It's stopped bleeding at least. Chaze places his shirt over Mystique and snarls as he looks at the mansion. He spots his com on the ground, broken and useless.)

Chaze: I'm coming for you Magneto. Gods save you, I'm coming for you.

[Wolf]

(Chaze scaled the fortress with ease and slung himself onto the wall. A guard froze in alarm, but Chaze snatched up a rock and hurled it at the mutant. The rock smacked into the guard's forehead and the mutant slunk to the floor. As Chaze turned, he saw Dom and TC take out another guard and give him the thumbs up from the ground. Chaze nodded at them and turned around. He changed into his human form and disappeared into the shadows.)

(Cain Marko pushed himself up and counted in his head the 579th pushup. As he did so, Chaze stepped out of the shadows. He had watched Magneto and Pyro enter a chamber two minutes prior. As he slipped in, all he could see was an iron door fifty feet away, and the Juggernaut guarding it. Chaze laughed emotionlessly to himself as he revealed himself to the Juggernaut.)

Wolf: Well, you definitely surpassed my number. I can only do about sixty consecutively.

(The Juggernaut turned his head and glared at Chaze. He rose to his feet and flexed his bulging muscles. Chaze only sighed and transformed.)

Juggernaut: Is that it?

Chaze: Sorry, I can't pull a rocket out of my @$$, but this is all you're getting.

(Juggernaut rolled his shoulders and nodded to Chaze. Chaze only smiled and narrowed his eyes. He had a feeling it was going to be a long day.)

[Wolf]

(Chaze rolls to the side as Juggernaut runs past. His claws scrape against Marko's armor but doesn't penetrate the flesh underneath. Wolf snarls as Marko turns and faces him.)

Juggenaut: You'll have to do better than that wolfman.

Wolf: I'll take that into consideration big boy.

(Marko charges him again, and Wolf leaps at him. Chaze lands on his head and drags his claws against Marko's headplate with little effect. Marko snatches Wolf off of his head and slings him at the nearest wall. Chaze slams into the wall and falls prostrate on the floor. He groans in pain as Marko picks him up and shoves his fist into his stomach. Chaze's knees weaken and he starts to fall again, but Marko catches him and holds him by the head.)

Marko: Oh no, it won't be that easy wolfman.

(Chaze slices Marko's arm, but even that does little to the mutant behemoth. Juggernaut knocks him to the floor and picks him up again. Once, twice, three times, and Wolf's white fur is stained with bright red blood. His eyes roll lazily in his head and he slips in and out of consciousness. Somewhere, in the back of his mind he thinks he can't take one more blow. As Juggernaut raises his colossal fist to deliver another devastating blow, Nur realizes this too.)

(The change is quick and scary. Black fur explodes over Wolf's body, his white fur being swallowed by the blackness. Emerald eyes change to pitch red and Wolf lets out a howl.)

Juggernaut: Nice trick wolfman, but it won't help you.

Wolf: On the contrary dear mutant, it helps substantially.

(Chaze grips Marko's arm and pries it away from his blood soaked head with ease. As he does, he sees the massive muscles in Marko's arm flex and strain underneath the skin. Marko reaches with his other hand, but Wolf's paw knocks it away. Wolf reaches out and slams the padding of his paw directly into the breastplate of the Juggernaut and he flies backwards and into the far wall. As Marko slinks to the ground, Wolf lets his golden detachable claws fly and the Juggernaut is engulfed in a fireball. Wolf's jaws snap together viciously as he stands straight and snarls. His adrenaline hasn't even begun to subside when he rips his way through the iron door and continues his pursuit of Magneto.)

[Wolf]

(Chaze walks down a long corridor, his fiery eyes blazing in the darkness.)

Nur: YOU SHOULD BE THANKING ME CHAZE. I JUST SAVED YOUR LIFE ONCE AGAIN.

Wolf: Yeah, well forgive me if I don't turn onto my stomach and want you to scratch my belly. You might've killed that guy, and I didn't ask for your help.

Nur: YOU DIDN'T HAVE TO. ANYONE COULD HAVE SEEN THAT YOU WOULD'VE LOST AND I STILL NEED YOU.

(Wolf didn't have time to answer the demented entity. A fireball hurled down the corridor and Wolf jumped to the floor as it passed overhead. When he looked up he saw a young man with a lighter in one hand, tossing another fireball back and forth.)

Nur: WELL, IF YOU'RE SO CONFIDENT IN YOUR ABILITIES WITHOUT ME, THEN YOU'LL HAVE NO PROBLEM DEFEATING THIS NEW NEMESIS.

(Nur immediately withdrew from Chaze's mind and Chaze groaned in anger. The new man watched as Chaze's fur went a pure white and then hurled another fireball at Chaze. Wolf leaped from the floor and dodged the fireball. He landed on his feet and ran at the new adversary with vicious intensity.)

[Wolf]

(Wolf ducked as another fireball blew past him. The heat singed his skin, despite the heavy fur it was cloaked in. As Wolf neared the man, he threw another fireball at Wolf. Wolf jumped up and caught the ceiling with his claws. He scampered along the ceiling for a yard and then dropped back down. By now, he was as close as he was going to get to his adversary and swept the man's feet out from under him. The man fell to the floor, and Chaze punched his face. As the man's hands flew to his face, Chaze pulled him up to his feet and ripped the lighter from his hand. He tossed far behind him and held the man with two paws.)

Wolf: Who are...............why, you're nothing but a f!@#$%^ kid! What are you doing in a place like this?

Man: I'm not a kid, and my name's Pyro.

(Pyro pulled back and punched Chaze right in the groin. As Chaze let go of him, he punched again. This time, Chaze got hit in the snout. As Wolf fell to his knees, Pyro grabbed his lighter and flicked the wick. As nothing happened, a horrible realization flooded his mind. Chaze pulled himself up and snarled in anger.)

Wolf: What's the matter kid? Run out of lighter fluid?

(Pyro hurled the lighter at Wolf, who simply caught it in his paw. Wolf let his claws slide out and growled deeply. Pyro, seeing an angry werewolf, felt fear grip him. He turned and ran as Wolf took two steps forward. As Wolf watched him go, he tossed the lighter up and caught it in his paw. He watched Pyro go a bit farther up, and then slung the zippo at him. The lighter caught Pyro just behind the ear, knocking him out cold. As Wolf turned back to the long corridor still facing him, he felt a swarm of relief. At least Magneto would be the last one he'd have to face. Wolf rubbed his snout and continued on.)

[Wolf]

(Chaze pushed open a large metallic door and stepped inside. The room was large and its ceiling was high. All around the room were enormous iron tiles and pillars of steel. A feeling of awe and apprehension grabbed Wolf. Chaze looked around and spotted a lone figure sitting behind a large iron desk.)

Wolf: Magneto, I've been fighting your henchmen all day. I'm glad I've finally found you.

(Magneto stands up and faces Chaze. His hair is long and white, his face weathered with years of knowledge and deeds. Cloaked in black and red, he eyes Chaze suspiciously.)

Magneto: I've seen you before monster. You led the assault on the X-Men's precious mansion. Kidnapped their blue psychic if I remember.

Chaze: That you do. And fell in love with her too. Now I'm here to get you and bring you to Smith.

Magneto: Is he still obsessed with resurrecting Apocalypse? How foolish, still a dull instrument.

Chaze: I can agree with you on that.

(Chaze sees Magneto fold his arms over his chest and Wolf transforms into his human form. He keeps his eyes green though to remind his target of what else he can be. As he takes another step towards Magneto, he can sense the pillars slightly shaking.)

Chaze: Please, I don't want a fight. I've been fighting all day, and I don't want to hurt you.

Magneto: (Laughing) Dear boy, it is not me you should be worried about.

(Two steel pillars snap from their foundations and move slowly together. Chaze watched them out of the corner of his eye and took a deep breath. Such a long day......)

[Wolf]

(The two pillars slam into each other but Chaze has already jumped backwards over them. He lands on his paws and looks up at Magneto, snarling fiercly.)

Magneto: You may have bested the X-Men, but they're in a different league than me wolf.

(Chaze snarls and leaps, but a jagged piece of metal flies by and slices his side. Chaze spins midair and hits the ground. Getting angrier, he scampers to his feet and rushes Magneto. As he closes the gap, Magneto raises his hand and the iron panels on the floor fly upwards. Chaze dodges them as they lift off but is caught by one six bounds away. As the panel flies skyward, Chaze looks up. As he nears the metal ceiling, Chaze leaps off of the panel as it slams into the ceiling. Falling back to the earth, Wolf can feel the presence of Nur in the middle of his mind.)

Nur: YOU NEED HELP, I CAN SENSE IT. HE IS FAR TOO STRONG FOR YOU.

Wolf: Get bent!

(Pain explodes in Chaze's mind as Nur comes forth. He closes his eyes, and as he lands on one of the pillars, doesn't see the iron panel as it comes barreling towards him. The panel slams into his back and picks him up off the pillar's top. As he flies at the iron wall, he throws his paws out and they slam into the wall. With the panel at his back, threatening to squish him against the wall, he fights Magneto's power and Nur in his mind. He opens his eyes for a second as his emerald eyes struggle against the bloodred of Nur. Fur turns a ghastly gray, then white, then black, then gray again. A stream of blood flows from his snout and he squints in exertion. What he doesn't see is the iron pillar he was standing on before rise up and slam into the panel.)

(Magneto watches as the panel slams into the wall and embeds itself there. He lets the pillar fall to the floor and relaxes. As he wipes the sweat from his brow, he smiles.)

Magneto: To think, he came all this way....

[Wolf]

(As Magneto turned away, the panel that had embedded itself into the wall flew back. Magneto turned and eyes the hole in the wall with a curious fear. Inside it stood Chaze Snipez, his muzzle bloody, his body quivering. He held out his paw and an orange orb spun in it. The orb formed a grotesque face, snarling at Chaze.)

Nur: I GAVE YOU LIFE AGAIN YOU MISERABLE WRETCH! I AM THE REASON THAT YOU NOW BREATH THE AIR OF THIS WORLD. YOU CANNOT DO THIS TO ME, NOT AFTER ALL I'VE DONE FOR YOU.

Wolf: No! You're nothing without your hosts. You're like a parasitic f@#$.

(The orb screeched and Wolf gripped it harder. As he squeezed the very life out of Nur's form, Magneto raised another pillar. Before Wolf could warn him though, he had already hurled it at them. Wolf spotted the pillar and jumped for safety. His hold on Nur loosened for a second and Nur jumped from his paw.)

Wolf: NOOOOO!

(The orb expanded into a cloud of orange mist that enshrowded Magneto. The mutant lord fell to his knees, cringing in pain as Nur possessed him. Wolf landed and ran over to Magneto.)

Wolf: Fight it old man! Fight him!

(Unfortunately, Magneto didn't have the healing powers of Logan or Chris. Nur instantly invaded his mind and he became a full horseman in seconds. Magneto pushed Wolf aside and stood up.)

Magneto: Yes, it's finally drawing near. Back to Weapon X dear Wolf. I no longer need you.

(Wolf reverted back to his human form and let his head drop. As Magneto walked to the exit, Chaze let a tear fall down his face. He succeeded in his mission, but failed a fellow mutant. What was the cost of humanity, he wondered.)

[Wolf]

(The rest of the day was a blur. TC called in the chopper. Dom smoked a whole pack of cigarettes. Magneto's eyes gleamed with the power of Apocalypse. Chaze only wondered what was going to happen. He hoped everything was going smoothly at Omega. But with Liz, Radar, and the others there he was feeling a bit of apprehension. The chopper ride was shorter than he remembered. That may have been because he had a lot on his mind, or it may have been the hole in his chest falling apart. With Nur gone, he could already feel the effects. He was dying. Slowly, and no doubt, it would end up to be painful, but there was no mistaking it. Chaze was dying again. He looked only at Magneto once, and could see Nur smiling in Magneto's eyes. Nur was fully aware of what was happening to Chaze, and he was mocking him.)

Magneto: Is something the matter Snipez. You look like you're fading.

(Chaze hadn't said anything. If he had, he would have said it with his fists and Magneto would go falling out of the chopper. Instead he concentrated on resting. The chopper's driver looked back and yelled that Omega would be coming up in about half an hour. Half an hour before Smith got another piece of the puzzle. He only hoped that maybe the X-Men could do something to stop him. It was their only real chance.)
