(Chaze wakes up to a familiar scene. He's wrapped with his covers and he's lying on his bed. As he sits up, he remembers the gashes on his sides, and looks down. They have closed up and seem to be coming along nicely. The slices on his nose also feel better, as he gently touches them with the tips of his fingers. He flexes his muscles and remembers everything that had happened up until Radar shot him and he died. He could vaguely remember some evil presence but he decided it was just a dream. As he got out of bed, he realized he was in the cabin.
The Cabin wasn't really a cabin, merely a nice two story resort house that Victor had bought using a fake name. They came out here to train, and give Wolf more scars. Chaze smiled at the thought and changed from the white t-shirt and shorts to a loose pair of black jeans. He pulled on some boots and made his way downstairs. He saw a familiar mutant standing over the kitchen counter, scarfing down a plate of steak.)
Chaze: Still eat it bleeding?
(The mutant stopped eating and turned slowly to face Chaze. He soon found himself staring into the black eyes of Sabertooth. But then, Victor smiled at Wolf and tossed him a beer.)
Victor: Yeah, well some things don't change.
Chaze: Yeah, some things don't. I went looking for you. Where have you been?
Victor: It's complicated. Can we just leave it at that.
Chaze: Not unless you want me to cut you open. C'mon Vic, I went through a lot to find you. The least you could do is tell me where you've been. I'm your friend.
(Creed looked down and sighed. When his gaze returned to Chaze, he had a small grin on his face.)
Victor: I'll tell you later. Right now, can I ask you how you winded up dying. I'll tell you right off hand, it wasn't a cake walk bringing you back. We had to perform surgery because you needed a new heart. Your old one had a bullet lodged in it.
Chaze: Why are you telling me this?
Victor: Because I want you to know how hard it was. Anyway, then you wake up and kill two of the three people who saved your life. Lemme tell you, that was a sight. But evidently you're fine now. So when you get on your feet, you should probably find out who killed you.
Chaze: Oh, I know exactly who killed me. And I plan on returning the favor as soon as I grab my gear and find him.
Victor: Really, because for a bit, I thought it was a woman.
Chaze: A woman?
Victor: Yeah. They had a woman who sat on your tomb for two days before a jet came and got her. I wanted to kill her, but I figured she was a friend of yours. I could smell you heavily on her.
(Chaze remembers the blue teleporter, their fights, their shared kisses, her human face, and her beauty in both forms. Chaze suddenly longs to hold Liz in his arms. He smiles at Victor.)
Chaze: Good thing you didn't kill her. I love her.
Victor: Yeah, I'm going to end this conversation now, because it's getting into the soft sappy s@#$.
(Chaze shakes his head. He then tells Creed about his exploits and how he was used in Weapon X. He tells Creed everything and then realizes that it's getting late. The sunset is imminent. Creed continues his meal, but Wolf goes out on the deck.
He sees the Alaskan sunset over the lake that the Cabin oversees. It's so beautiful, but the whole time he watches it, his thoughts are on Elizabeth Van Sickle and how he misses her. Eventually he goes in and sits down on the couch. He eventually lies down, and falls asleep. As he sleeps Apocalypse takes over and he turns into his black wolf form. Wolf steps out into the patio and gazes over the town of Fairbanks beside the colossal lake. Wolf grins, and then descends onto the town.)
