(The group comes out of the office and into the main entrance area. Nightcat surveys the damage that it has sustained over the last few hours. Her odd hands clench the handles of her swords, preparing to fight.)

(After assessing the situation ECKS hurries out and starts barking orders.)
ECKS: "Okay, everyone fan out and find an entry point. For now that's gonna be your station to guard, if we need to we'll move outside to give the team upstairs some relief."
(ECKS rushes to a window next to the main entrance and stands beside it, watching for any one trying to get through it. He taps the mic on his earpiece.)
ECKS: "Keep an eye us, Binary, if things get outta hand let me know so we can adjust our positions down here."

(Nightcat takes a position at the window opposite ECKS. She lowers herself closer to the ground, her tail lashing behind her.

(ECKS picks up the sound of two soldiers hitting the wall outside the mansion a few feet to his right, just under the gun that Oracle was using. He slowly sneaks into the spot where he heard them hit and leans close to the wall, he can hear them still on the other side of the wall breathing heavily. In a flash of metal he yells as he unsheathes his claws and sends each through the wall and into one of the soldiers. He retracts his claws and listens to hear both of them slump to the ground. He catches his breath from the primal yell and looks over at Nightcat, a drop of sweat slides down his cheek.)
ECKS: "Never saw it comin.' Lookin' good so far."
(He walks back toward his original position to wait for the next wave. Magneto seems to be getting a little impatient so ECKS gives him a look to say "Not just yet.")

(Nightcat had seen ECKS kill the two soldiers and she was distracted by his words that followed. She never heard the gun fire. Suddenly she had a burning pain just above her right knee. she looked over to her left and saw a soldier standing there with his gun raised and ready to fire again. She teleported to just behind him, drew one of her swords and sent it right through him. As Nightcat retracted the sword from the man's body she teleported back to her original position. She looked over at ECKS and nodded at him.)
Liz: Do not vorry. I can still fight.

ECKS: "If you say you're ok, I trust you. Just be careful, I'm not ready to lose anyone else."
(ECKS watches as more soldiers apprach the mansion. Suddenly he realizes that Magneto is no longer standing behind him. He tries to hide it but he finds himself half-smiling at the thought of Magneto taking the fight to the soldiers.)
ECKS: (under his breath) "Guess the old man got tired a waitin.' Wonder what took'em so long."

(Liz looked around and saw that ECKS was smiling, then she noticed Magneto's absence. She too smiled at the thought of the older man telling the soldiers how he felt about this war. She looked around to look out the window and she heard a radio command come through a soldier's radio.)
Radio: Remember, Smith wants the teleporter dead. That's an order.
(Liz's eyes grow in fear as she hears the transmission, but it soon turns to anger. She teleports out and back in within a few moments. When she returns, her swords are drawn and bloody and her tail has a small loop to it, as though she had just used it to snap a neck.)

(ECKS hears a familiar sound and looks out the window to see something that puts a big smile on his face.)
ECKS: "They've done it now."

(ECKS ducks back under the window and looks over at Nightcat.)
ECKS: "Our ace in the hole finally came through. Magneto's just crushed an entire tank without even breakin' a sweat. Don't know 'bout you, but I'm ready to get a little dirty. Ya with me?"

(A smile crosses Liz's demonic features as she nods.)
Liz: As alvays ECKS.

ECKS: "Good thing is, they never planned on Magneto showin' up to the party. Watch this."
(ECKS taps his earpiece to communicate with the team.)
ECKS: "Hey Mags, disarm the ones you can. We'll handle the rest from here. Just watch our backs for any surprises. Anyone who wants ta join me and Liz outside, feel free. It's time to end this."
(He ends the transmission and looks over at Nighcat.)
ECKS: "Let's do this."
(In a blinding rage ECKS unleashes his claws and dives headfirst out the window, catching a pair of soldiers of guard and quickly stabbing them both. He rolls away, disarms, and takes out a third unsuspecting soldier in the same fashion. Then turns to see the next wave coming in. This, of course, only makes him smile.)

(Liz follows ECKS out of the window, drawing her swords as she goes. She slashes at the soldiers that come barreling at her. She hears shots fired causing her to duck and roll to the left. When she stands again, the tree that had been right behind her is peppered with bullet marks and bullets. Once again, shots are fired and Liz teleports away, up into one of the taller trees. Suddenly one of the soldiers cry out.)
Soldier: THAT'S THE ONE! DIRECT ORDER FROM SMITH! KILL THE TELEPORTER!
Liz: Oh Scheiße. Gerade, was ich brauche.
(Liz turns in the trees and starts to run on the branches on all fours, trying to find a new place to start fighting.)
