Arrival at Omega

[Nightcat]

(No less than thirty minutes later, the H-14 pulls up to the gate of Omega Base. Knowing that there would be security at the gate, Liz had put up a false image of Radar that could respond to questions and show a valid ID. The move was risky, but it worked. She looks around and watches those around her. Christina was the only other one awake in the hummer, but she had a distant, fearful look on her face. She must be dreading Radar's awakening. Chaze was sleeping in the front seat, his eyelids twitching slightly in dreams unknown. Radar was semi-conscious, his eyes full of hate for her as he stared at her. Chris, in the meantime, was twitching as he fought off Nur. She guessed that it was only his healing factor that was keeping the god at bay.
Finally the hummer came to stop and Liz could see Smith standing infront of it. Reaching out with her mind, she hits the nerve that is effected by the drug Caffine. Within a moment, Chaze's eyes snap as he feels the effect of the equivalant of about four cups of dark, black coffee. Reaching over his shoulder, she point to Smith.)

Liz: Ve may have a problem.

[Wolf]

(Chaze sits up and sees Smith. He starts to change but he stops himself. Instead he turns back to Liz, kisses her and caresses her face.)

Wolf: I'll handle this, but be ready to back me up.

(Chaze gets out of the Hummer and stands by the driver's door. A puzzled look escapes Smith's face as Chaze growls and walks slowly towards Smith. He stops a bit short as Weapon X soldiers gather around the Hummer and level their guns at Chaze. From behind Smith, Chaze sees a wounded Kutal emerge.)

Thomas: It would appear as if you're the one who needs to worry about your life Chaze.

(Chaze's eyes flash, but he doesn't try anything. Instead, he ignores Kutal's comment and looks straight into Smith's eyes.)

Wolf: I'm cursed with the power of En Sabah Nur. As is my girlfriend, the teleporter, no less. We also have another one who's infected. Now since I know for a fact that you're the one who's trying to bring this mutant back, you would be wise not to endanger us, but rather keep us protected here at the base.

Smith: Did you leave Matthews alive or did you kill him too?

Wolf: Matthews is fine, save the world's worst headache. Now, are you going to protect us here or will we have to fight our way outta here and kill you in the process?

(Smith frowns and lowers his shoulders slightly. As he turns away, Chaze smiles quickly and gets back in the Hummer. He drives it into a hangar and turns to Liz and Christina.)

Wolf: Let's do this I guess.

[Nightcat]

(Liz kisses Chaze back with a quiet passion then watches him get out of the hummer. She tenses at the sight of the guns then lets out a gasp at the sight of Kutal. She snarls and her eyes flash red once again. She wants nothing more than to see that man dead and it seemed that the master thought the same thing. When she hears Chaze's comment about her being his girlfriend, she smiles softly and the smile grows as he tells the men that Radar has the worst headache known to man. As Chaze crawls back into the van, she looks at him questioningly, but nods anyways. Picking Chris up with her telekinese, she carries the man out of the van. Turning around, she sees Chaze half draging, half carrying Radar.)

Liz: Now vas do ve do? They are now more likely to keep us safe knowing zat ve have Nur inside of us, but vas vill zey do to us?

[Wolf]

(Chaze shrugs his shoulders and looks at Liz.)

Wolf: They might wanna run some tests on us. They'll probably treat you the best, seeings as how you're a much better fighter and more of a use to Nur and them.

(Chaze dragged Matthews over to Liz and looked her right in her pretty face.)

Wolf: I don't know what's going to happen, but I do love you. You know that right?

(Before Liz could respond, the doors to the hangar opened wide and soldiers poured in. They grabbed her around the arm and grabbed her wrists. They grabbed Christina and led the two away. Kutal stood in the background, smiling. Smith walked over to the semi-conscious Radar and had two soldiers haul him away. Smith looked back at Wolf.)

Smith: Thank you for delivering ECKS to me. I've been waiting for a chance to see him again. Now, let me make a deal with you. I have the equipment to extract Nur from your pretty little girlfriend. But it's hard work, and quite frankly, I'd rather not see my men have to do it. Now, the process is quite painful and most subjects don't survive. So, if you don't want me to perfrom the "operation" on your teleporter, you'll get me one of the final pieces for my puzzle. I want the mutant named Magneto.

[Nightcat]

(Liz struggles the entire time that the guard was bringing her and Christina down into the main base and to the holding areas. Every now and then, her eyes would flash an angry red and the roots of her blue hair were now pitch black. She made now sound as one of the soldiers led her into a room with medical equipment and two beds. Looking around, she sees that Christina was being brought in too. Liz faces her captor as he pushes her onto the bed. Not feeling like speaking verbally, she speaks with her mind.)

Liz: Vas do you vant vith us? Vas are you going to do?

(The soldier smirks, turns around to grab something, spins around before Liz knows what is going on, and plunges a seringe into her shoulder. She gasps and reverts back to her human form. Within a few moments, she lays on the bed, only semi-conscious. The smirk on the man's face grows wider.)

Solider: Makin' sure that you don't kill me while I', examinin' you.

Liz: You vould not dare!

Solider: Watch me you mutie.

(The solider takes great care in undressing Liz and putting a hospital gown on her, although he was curtius enough to let her keep her undergarments on. He lays her back down and hooks her up to the monitors and starts to run an IV. The entire time, Christina's captor was just watching, not touching her or anything else. He leaves when he sees that Liz's man is done with her.)

Solider: Have a nice rest, sweety. Yo, Brians. Get in here and start on the other.

(Soon another man walks in and approaches Christina to start on her.)

[Radar]

(TC and Dom drag Radar into the infirmary and sit him down on a bed. He takes off his glasses and motions for the trash can. Dom snatches it up from the floor and hands it to Matthews. Radar throws up again and then hands the trash can to TC.)

Dom: Uh....sir......we have some bad news for you

Radar: What?

Dom: Ryder......he's dead. Snipez killed him. It was in...

(Radar is off of his feet in no time. He stumbles past the two soldiers and bursts out of the room. He staggers into the medicine room and grabs a bottle of Asprin. As he starts swallowing them whole, he makes his way back to the hangar and back to face Wolf.)

[Wolf]

(Chaze steps closer to Smith, to the point where he could smell the alcohol Smith had been drinking. It was Brandy, aged over twenty years. Chaze looks directly into Smith's eyes.)

Chaze: I want your promise that you won't harm Liz. Or ECKS. Or the girl, Christina. You do what you have to do, but you won't hurt them. Otherwise, I kill you now, and let your men kill me.

(The soldiers raise their guns a little higher and tense a little more. Smith smiles despite the uneasy situation and holds out his hand a little.)

Smith: You get me Magneto and I'll make sure that everyone's as cozy as they can be on the base.

(Chaze shakes Smith's hand and quickly releases it.)

Smith: But you're not going alone. I'm sending someone reasonable with you.

(Radar bursts into the hangar and falls down. The effects of Nightcat's powers, still harboring Matthews, he stumbles over to Chaze and throws an easily avoided punch. Chaze sidesteps and lets Radar fall flat on his face and get knocked unconscious. Chaze looks up at Smith and smiles.)

Wolf: Gonna send me with this fool?

Smith: You'd appreciate that huh? A chance to kill Matthews Johnson, the man who killed you. No, I'm sending you with someone a bit more qualified. Come, let me show you your partner and the army of Apocalypse.

Wolf: (mentioning Radar) And him?

Smith: He needs a break from field activity. He'll stay here on the base and keep ECKS and your girl in line.

(The two, accompanied by two dozen soldiers exit the hangars and descend deeper into Omega Base.)

[Oracle]

(Christina also struggles with the soldier holding her arms down unto the bed.)

Christina: Let us go!! Leave us alone!!

(The soldier called Brians gets a seringe and approaches Christina)

Brians: Just hold still and this won't hurt one bit.

(As he approached her, Christina lifts her right leg and kicks him in the face. He stumbles back, but remains standing. He wipes the blood from his nose.)

Brians: Hold her legs.

(The other soldier holding her arms down did as he was told, but not without receiving a few kicks to the arms and hands. Brians quickly approaches and uses his arm to pin Christina's chest and arms down. He sticks the seringe into Christina's arm. Christina recognizes the numbing feeling coursing throughout her body. As soon as her legs went limp, the soldier holding them lets go and backs away. Christina can feel the drowsiness, but she also maintains her consciousness. Brians follows the same procedure as the other soldier had done with Liz. As Christina is dressed in the hospital gown, Brians chuckles and jokes with his fellow soldiers.)

Brians: It's been a while since we've had two lovely patients in our care.

(As the soldiers laughed and smiled, Christina shoots them a dirty look and wished she had the strength to use her powers on them. Brians begins with cleaning the stratches on Christina's hands and knees and then wrapping them after.)

[Nightcat]

(About two hours later, Liz starts to feel the effects of the tranquilizer starting to wear off. Suddenly a buzzer goes off and another solider stalks into the room, holding another seringe. Liz can tell that it's another tranq, but it's not as strong as the other. She can only guess that Smith wants to keep her sedated enough to keep her from bring Nur back to the surface of her mind and from her powers. She barely struggled as the man pushed the needle in and pushed down on the plunger. Slowly, the man gets her out of bed and walking toward the door. Before leaving the room, Liz speaks aloud, though her words are slurred from the drugs effects.)

Liz: Vhereyou taking me? I donot vant togo.

Solider: Too bad Sweety. We're gonna have some fun.

(The door closes and Christina can hear another door opening down the hall. All the quiet for a moment until....)

Liz: NIEN!! Please any zing but zat!! BITTE!! ANHALTEN!! STOP!!!

(Liz's screaming is interrupted every now and then by the sounds of the door opening and closing. This goes of for about ten more minutes. Soon the door to The Room opens again and a different solider comes in with Liz in his arms. She's in her furry form, but bits of the fur seemed to be ripped off and she was bleeding from many cuts. He sets her down on the bed and she curls up into a ball, holding her stomach. He turns to Christina.)

Solider: I'm sorry Love. But it's an order. You're next.

[Oracle]

(Christina stares horrified at Liz and then at the soldier with an evil smirk on his face. She didn't need her premontion power to tell her what happened in there. This was perhaps Christina's scariest moment in her life. She feels more sympathy for Liz who just had to indure that. She can feel the tranquilzer leaving her system, so she jumps out of bed and runs to Liz. She places her hand on Liz's shoulder and notices Liz is crying.)

Christina: Oh my God... Liz...

(The soldier walks behind Christina and prepares to stick her with the seringe. Christina senses him and knows what he's about to do. Christina's fear turns into anger as her eyes begin to glow purple, but it's not because of her premontions. She quickly turns around and faces the soldier. She notices the seringe the soldier is holding has a purple aura around it.)

Christina: NO!

(The seringe flies out of the soldier's hand, and he stands in shock. He had known she is Oracle, but he wasn't expecting any other powers.)

Soldier: What the hell...

(Christina raises her hands and pushes the soldier away. The soldier flies across the room and crashes into the wall on the opposite side. But the other soldiers had heard the commotion, and one was already approaching with the seringe at hand. He grabs Christina around her waist and injects her with the tranquilzer. Christina's eyes return to their natural blue as her body returns to its previous helpless state. The soldier picks Christina up and carries her to The Room, with the others following behind.)

Soldier: A little feisty, this one... This should be fun.

(The other soldiers laugh as they enter The Room and closes the door. Brians was the soldier who carried Christina into the other room and placed her onto the bed. Christina tries to move, but it takes a lot out of her even to pick herself up. Brians grabs her shoulders, presses her down, and begins to kiss her. Christina does the only thing she could and bites his lower lip until she draws blood. Brians sits up immediately.)

Brians: Damn...

(Christina summons all of her strength and swings her arm wildly. It catches him on the side of his face, but Brians reacts quickly. He grabs her arm and uses his other hand to slap Christina across her face. He presses her down once again, but Christina doesn't have the strength anymore to fight back.)

Brians: As I said before... Just hold still and this won't hurt one bit.

[Wolf]

(Chaze, Smith, Kutal, and the two dozen soldiers enter into a large elevator. It's a pale green and has the annoying elevator music playing in the background. Smith inserts a key into a small keyhole and turns it 180 degrees to the left and then another 360 degrees to the right. The elevator starts to descend and Chaze looks around at the soldiers and realizes he still has his own dogtags from when he was a pawn. He starts to reach for it, but the elevator comes to an abrupt halt and the double doors open. Smith and the others exit onto a steel platform and Wolf gasps with awe and horror.)

(Below, are dozens of Thetas. The eleven foot monstrosities march back and forth as human scientists load tranquilized humans and willing soldiers into large gas chambers. Chaze's eyes catch one young woman. She's wearing rags and was most likely caught and forced here. She's loaded into one of the chambers and orange gas fills the chamber, surrounding and hiding her. She lets out a scream, despite the tranquilizer, but it's soon muffled as the scream morphes into an unearthly roar. Chaze pries his eyes away and looks at Smith with disdain.)

Chaze: You're a monster Smith.

Smith: No, I just create them. The Theta Project began a month before William Stryker died. He was experimenting on how to make the perfect sub-human soldier. I merely took up his dream.

(The company looks out again over the factory and Chaze blinks back tears for the innocent people forced into this hellhole.)

Smith: Months upon month of research and failed test subjects have yielded us Stryker's dream. We now have the Theta and it will change the world when Apocalypse arises. As Nur rules the world of mutants and mankind, the Theta will act as his enforcers and I will be justly rewarded.

Wolf: Who authorized this madness?

Smith: Who do you think? The Secretary of Defense. He knows all about it as him and his predecessors have been the ones to form Weapon X.

(Chaze turns away from the horrors and looks Smith in the eyes once again.)

Wolf: I don't know who's going to kill you, but I'm going to save these people from this hell, and then I'm going to kill you.

(Wolf points to Kutal.)

Wolf: And then, I'm going after anybody who ever allowed this to come about. And that, I swear, will be done.

[Radar]

(Matthews Johnson patrols down the corridors of the laboratory and infirmary, he thinks Chaze might be down here getting stitched up and having tests run, but all he sees is ECKS lying on a bed with an IV drip. Matthews enters the room and briefly scans ECKS's brain waves to see if he's truly unconscious. Satisfied that he is, Matthews walks over to him and looks at the mutant leader.)

Radar: Answer me this, Josephine, how is this going to end? How many more people must die before this war ends? I look around and I see comrades dying. Soldiers, good men, dying just because they've been ordered to non lethally subdue a mutant. I've done bad things ECKS, as have we all. But I don't think myself a bad person. I'm just a soldier following orders. Now, tell me, am I taking the right orders? Is Weapon X truly the evil of this war? Are you and your "freedom fighters" the good guys?

(ECKS doesn't respond and Radar sighs and takes off his glasses. He reaches in his jacket and pulls his rubix cube out.)

Radar: Dad said that when I figured this out, I'd know who I am and what to do. I wish I had it figured out know. I desperately want to know who I am, and what side I should really be on.

(Matthews sighs and sees something out of place. He grabs a pilow and tucks it underneath ECKS's head. The problem solved, Matthews turns and walks away. As he's leaving, he hears commotion and enhanced brain waves. He decides to check it out and walks in on Private First Class Dalvin Brians. He slaps her with the back of his hand and she falls back on the cot.)

Brians: As I said before...Just hold still and this won't hurt a bit.

Matthews: What the F@#$ are you doing soldier?

(Radar had barked the order and Brians and the other six men in the room turned to look at him. They were startled by him, but Brians simply laughs and turns back to Christina.)

Brians: Smith's orders.

(Radar raises his eyebrow and briskly makes his way over to Brians. He snatches the syringe away and reads its label. His eyes flash and he turns to the others.)

Radar: I'm giving you five seconds to get out of this room before I kill all of you.

(Brians and the others don't even start. They try to attack Matthews, but he simply fights back. He quickly incapacitates all of them, save Brians. As the army doctor is held up against the wall, his arms behind him and his legs secured, Radar snarls into his ear.)

Radar: This is Ketamine. You're using the date-rape drug on her.

(Brians didn't get a chance to respond, Matthews snaps his neck and drops the dead soldier into a heap. Matthews swears and checks the orders on the foot of Christina's bed. He sees the head doctor had only commanded that Liz and Christina be changed to gowns and that Liz was to be secured and tested upon to see how she could change from her two forms. Radar sighs and pickes up Christina from the bed. He brings her back into the room where Liz was still curled up into a ball and lays her gently down on her bed. He pulls the covers over her and to her neck. Then he pages the attending doctor and turns to leave. As he nears the door, he looks back at Christina and sighs.)

[Nightcat]

(Liz's eyes snap open at the sound of the door opening again she sees Radar standing in the doorway. She didn't trust him, but he had been gentle with Christina. She spoke verbally, but he voice was scratchy from the earlier screaming.)

Liz: Herr Johnson. Vhy did zey do zis to us. ANSWER ME!

(The last words were shouted loud and clear in Radar's head, reflecting the fear and anger that filled her now deadsage eyes.)

[Radar]

(Matthews turns and looks at Liz. He swears under his breath and makes his way over to her bed. There's a chair beside it and he sits quietly in it, next to her.)

Radar: I didn't know Brians was the doctor on call. If I would have known, I would have been here sooner. I always suspected him of being corrupt and the ba$%^&@ tried using the date-rape drug on Christina.

(Matthews looked into Liz's deadsage eyes and sighed once more.)

Radar: I don't know what you're used to, but most of the guys in here are good guys. They're just trying to do their jobs and get by. Unfortunately, we do have some bad apples in the group and I just killed one of them. Now, I've called the on-call doctor and he's a friend of mine. His name is Catoire. He's a good guy, so please don't kill him. As for me, I don't like you, mainly because my head is still banging from your little trick. But I do respect you and I promise you'll be fine.

(Radar gets up and starts to leave the room, but takes one last look back.)

Radar: Besides, I want Wolf in top spirits when I kill him.

(Matthews leaves the room before Liz could say anymore and walks back into the other room. He faces the remaining soldiers and starts to lecture them, when he smells what they did to Liz.)

Radar: Please tell me you didn't. I swear to god, you'd better tell me you didn't do that to an innocent woman.

(None of the soldiers speak, but Matthews is quick on his feet. He grabs a knife and goes to town. When he's finished, all of the men are dead and his hands are covered in blood. He throws the knife down as Doctor Catoire comes in.)

Catoire: What the hell happened here Johnson?

Radar: Self-defense. They tried to kill me. Anyway, the two girls are in the other room. Take care of them huh?

Catoire: Yeah, uh...ok. But lemme go barf. That's sick.

(As the doctor leaves, Radar returns to the other room and looks into Liz's eyes.)

Radar: You won't have to worry anymore. I've taken care of your "tormentors." You just concerntrate on relaxing.

[Oracle]

(Christina still lies in shock after the incident that almost took place. She grabs the blankets and tucks them under her chin. She looks up and sees Radar talking to Liz. She remembers how it was he who saved her from the terrible torture that Liz experienced. She sits up and calls after him.)

Christina: Matthews... I know we got off on the wrong foot, and you were probably just doing your job protecting Liz and me, so it doesn't really change anything. But still... Thanks.
