Need A New Plan...

[Shadowcat]

(Kitty groans as she sits up and rubs her head. She looks to her side and sees Jack is also starting to stir. The room seems vacant; even Ana is missing. Kitty begins to think that they have been tricked when a familiar voice diverts her attention.)

Wolverine: Hey half-pint. 'Bout time you wake up.

Shadowcat: Logan!

(Kitty stands and joins Wolverine who is lazily sitting on the edge of the bed. It is then she notices his hands are wrapped with torn pieces of clothing with blood stains.)

Shadowcat: Logan, what's happening? Why aren't you healing?

Wolverine: Must be somethin' about the room. Tried makin' a door, but didn't work.

(Kitty looks at the wall and notices claw marks. Curious, Kitty stands and walks to the wall. She places her hand against the wall and tries to phase, but her powers aren't working. Angrily, Kitty begins to pace the room while ranting her thoughts.)

Shadowcat: This has probably a trap right from the start. I knew we shouldn't trust him. He probably just brought us in here to lock us up and then he took Ana. We fell right into his hands and now they nearly have all they need to resurrect Apocalypse.

Wolverine: What did you just say?

Shadowcat: You recognize it, don't you? That's the reason you're here. Smith, in charge of Weapon X, is trying to bring back Apocalypse to wipe out mutantkind. To do that, he needs four mutants to become his horsemen... One of them being you.

(Wolverine scowls and lightly growls at the mention of Weapon X, but allows Kitty to continue.)

Shadowcat: Smith has already captured many of our members, so we came to help them, but it turns out that we have just been tricked.

Wolverine: So what's the plan of action 'cause I feel like having a scrap.

Shadowcat: Well, I still have one more outside link that no one can detect or might even expect.

(Logan cocks one eyebrow questionly at Kitty while she smiles; How could he forget about her little pet?)

[Mindcontrol]

(slowly waking from his sleep, Mindcontrol tries to remember what had happened. before he could do any thinking he saw Kitty and Wolverine already up and going to ask them how they got in this room.)

Mindcontrol: do you guys know how we got in here?

(Mindcontrol walks over to the locked door examining it)

[Shadowcat]

Shadowcat: It was Liz, Christina, and that mutant soldier, remember? They brought us all in here. That soldier said we would be safe in here and claimed he wanted to help us... Yeah, right. I remember saying we couldn't trust him and then the next thing is lights out. He probably knocked us out with his mind, or dare I say it, it might have even been Liz. Now, we're locked in this room where our powers don't work and Smith only needs one more person before he has all that he needs.

(Kitty stands and walks around the room. She has a small plan forming in mind, but she needs to work out a few details. She comes to a stop right when she notices a small vent high in the wall. It is too small for her, but the right size for her secret weapon.)

Shadowcat: The only shot we've got on getting out of here is Lockheed.

Wolverine: Should've known you still had that dragon with ya. What you thinking?

Shadowcat: Lockheed is small enough to fit inside the vents to sneak in the base. Then he can either find a way to shut down the power so we can use ours to get out of here or maybe the door can be unlocked or destroy from the outside.

(The psychic connection between Kitty and Lockheed could never truly be explained by telepathy; it seemed more on instinct. Perhaps that was why telepaths could never read Lockheed's mind. That's what made him perfect for sneaking. Kitty could sense Lockheed was still waiting by the jet as she had instructed him.)

Lockheed, fly over to the base and find the ventilation system. Try not to be seen or heard. Once you're in the vents, listen for me tapping and follow the sound to find me.

(From the outside, the small dragon immediately took flight and began to fly to the roof of the base. Meanwhile, Kitty waited by the vent and began to lightly tap on the vent.)

[Mindcontrol]

(everything had come back to him now, not sure who if it was that mutant soldier or hopefully not Liz. Mindcontrol began to pace around the room filled with anger when the thought of that soldier who only wanted to "help" them. then when the thought of Liz came to his head he didn't even want to think about it.)

Mindcontrol: When i see him he's as good as dead.

Wolverine: i like your attitude but first we gotta to get out of this room.

(Kitty makes a a hand gesture telling them to keep it quite. Mindcontrol walks over to Kitty and whispers in her ear.)

Mindcontrol: do you hear any thing?

[Shadowcat]

Shadowcat: I think...

(She pauses her tapping to listen. It sounds like the tapping was echoing throughout the vents, but then the tapping grew louder.)

Shadowcat: *whispers* Lockheed?

(Soon Lockheed can be seen on the other side of the vent. He growls happily at the sight of Kitty, but his growls are echoed through the vents. Kitty puts a finger to her lips.)

Shadowcat: Shhhhh... Quiet Lockheed; they might hear you. Okay, now find another vent close by to get out of. See if you can get the door open so we can get out. But be careful, don't let anyone see you. Look for cameras.

(Lockheed growls quietly this time as he nods his head. He walks back through the vents and disappears from view. Kitty walks away from the vent and faces the guys.)

Shadowcat: Once we get out, Jack, try to find Chris and everyone else. Lets find them and get them out of here with as little interference as possible.

[Mindcontrol]

(Mindcontrol nods in agree, takes a seat in one of the chairs, waiting for Lockheed to open the door. staring into space still being as patent as possible, could hear noses outside the door

Mindcontrol: you guys hear that,its probably Lockheed?

[Shadowcat]

Shadowcat: Probably....

(Kitty listens closely by the door to hear Lockheed using his fire breathing to try to burn the door down. She then hears him scratcing at the door to see if he had made any damage. Lockheed growls sympathic at his failed attempts.)

Wolverine: Hope you didn't get your hopes up, but if my claws couldn't cut through it...

(Lockheed growls again to call Kitty's attention. Through the pyschic connection, Kitty can see the lock on the other side of the door.)
Shadowcat: We need a card key... And I can think of one person who could have it.

(Kitty thinks back about the mutant soldier. She tries to remember as much about him as she could to give Lockheed more information.)

Shadowcat: Lockheed, go back into the vents and try to look for this man. He would have the key to unlock the door. But be careful, he's a mutant also. He has telepathy, but that won't affect you. But he also has some kind of power over waves.

(Lockheed growls in approval and can be heard climbing back into the vents to look for the soldier.)

[Nightcat]

(Liz had left Christina and had changed into her new outfit that Smith had given her. He had also given her a key card so that she could move freely around the Base. She had give had given Smith her word that she would not leave due to Nur's presence in her mind. She was now wondering the hall of the base and decided to check up on the others. Just then she hears sounds coming from the vents. Her eyes glow green and Lockhead comes crashing out and freezes in mid-air due to Liz's telekinesis. She walks towards him and takes a psychic hold of him and walks back to the blank room. Sliding her card through, she enters and closes the door quickly behind her but asks as though she were shoved. She places Lockheed on Kitty's lap as the holds disapate. She sits and looks at the others.)

Liz: I guess zey vant me in here. Don't ask vhy. So, how are you guys holding up? I see zat you figured out zat ve are in ze Blank Chamber. No mutant power can be used here, but zey can be monitered. zey'll let you two out soon.

(She points to Kitty and Jack.)

Liz: But I can make zem release Logan. Trust me vhen I say zat zey vould like him a little bloodied und close to death zan loose. No offence Logan. I know zat you guys vant to get us out, but ve have no choice but to stay. I cannot leave Chris, Ana, Christina, or Chaze.

[Shadowcat]

Shadowcat: Well we're not leaving you guys here either. We came to get you guys out. You don't have to stay here. No one does. We can stop Smith.

[Nightcat]

(Liz takes out a pair of gloves and taps a wall. A computer screen and keyboard emerge from it and Liz accesses the video from the room where Chris had killed the twenty people. She plays the tape, staring at it, watching what she herself did to stop more blood shed. As the Liz and Christina on the tape leave the screen, Liz turns it off.)

Liz: You see. Ve can not leave. Chris kills on sight. He vill only listen to me und to Nur. Und right now, Nur just wants his killing instinct. He like es a lot. Chaze becomes ze same zing. You saw vhat I am like. I do not remember saying any of zat. I am scared to leave. Christina... I do not know vhat she vants any more. I just cannot leave right now. I am sorry.

[Shadowcat]

(Kitty sits in shock as she watched the video of Chris's killings. She had never seen anyone like that, and especially not Chris. She looks to Liz, but Kitty is not ready to give up that easily. She sits Lockheed off her lap and unto the bed as she stands next to Liz.)

Shadowcat: I understand why you feel like you have to stay, but you and everyone else would be better off with us and left here. We can find some way to help you. We'll find a way to break Nur's grip of you and Chris and Chaze. If you guys stay here, you'll only be like a puppet for him. And Christina would be a sacrifice. Don't forget, she was captured and brought here to die. If we stay, Smith will only use you for his plans. Come on Liz. We just want to help you guys.

[Nightcat]

(A worried look flashes across Liz's demonic features and her eyes start to flash red again.)

Liz: Look. I know vhat you vant to do. But es vill never vork. The Master takes over vhen he vants to und I can rarely control vhat I do. Ahhhhh!

(Liz lets out a soft scream and she clutches her head. She falls her knees, fighting off Nur. However, He wins and Liz's stands, her eyes glowing bright red. She turns her head to look at Logan and she smiles. She points her finger at him and speaks, though it was like before, deeper and without the German accent.)

Liz(Nur): You. You will soon bow before Me and you will obey My commands.

(Before Logan can do anything, Liz is on top of him. She places her lips onto his and kisses him, breathing Nur into Logan's body. Like Chris had done, Logan's eyes glow red for a moment before he slips into a coma-like state. Liz stands up and smiles at Jack and Kitty.)

Liz(Nur): It is only a matter of time now. I only need one more and I will have my Horsemen. Pick him up and take him to a better area to recover.

(The last sentence was directed at Liz and she does as she is told. She picks up Logan with the help of her tail and she walks to the door. Looking up at a corner, she calls out.)

Liz(Nur): Let me out!

(The door opens and she walks out, slamming the door behind her before the others can run out.)

[Shadowcat]

(Kitty runs to the door right when it opens, but Liz/Nur had closed the door before she could get out.)

Shadowcat: Logan!

(Kitty bangs her fists against the door. She quickly turns around and leans on the door, facing Jack.)

Shadowcat: Normally, I'm not pestimistic, but I think we're officially screwed.

[Radar]

(Matthews enters the hospital wing of the base, and passes a trio of soldiers repairing the walls. Matthews nods at them and continues on. As he walked down the hallways, he remembered that he still had business with ECKS and that the other X-Men were locked in the room. He also remembered that one of the members was named "Mindcontrol." That might be worth checking out, considering the mutant wasn't a greenhorn. Matthews groaned to himself, deciding whether to go face the mutants in the Blank Chamber. In the end, he shook his head. He was injured due to his brief moment of stupidity, and he needed a shower and a hot meal before he went out into the field and after Deschain. He turned away and walked to Dr. Catoire's office.)

[Oracle]

(Christina leans against the hallway wall that she and Liz had previous occupied until she finds that she is having a hard trouble keeping her eyes open. It must have been days now that she hasn't had a decent's night sleep. She finds her way back to the hospital wing that she was in previously. She enters the small private bathroom and after checking that it was indeed private enough, she takes a quick shower.)

(After she dresses, she takes a look at herself in the mirror. Despite her long, dirty blonde hair being wet, her appearance seems to have changed. She notices her face seems a shade paler, inhanced by the dark shadows under her eyes. She also seems to be getting a smaller shape; perhaps from not having something to eat in a while. She didn't trust anyone here, except those who gave her a reason to trust them, and so far, that was only two. She seems to have aged a lot over just a matter of days.)

(Christina enters back into the room and shuts the door. If someone enters, she should wake up... She was always a light sleeper. As she lies down on the bed, she feels something in her pocket poking at her thigh. She reaches inside and reveals Matthews's rubix cube. She had almost forgotten she had it. She looks at cube with strange curiousity. What use would a rubix cube be to a blind man? She then remembered her vision about the cube; it was given to him by his father. Perhaps it held sentimental value. But then Christina almost laughed at the thought. A military man, in and out, having sentimental value over a childish toy... But on the other hand, even though Radar is a mutant, he is still human with feelings. She eyes it carefully, witnessing his progress so far. Bizarrely, he was close. Most of the colors on three sides were the same. She wondered if he knew that. As she laid back down, she placed the cube beside her and then covered herself with the blanket. She closed her eyes, getting some rest. But as always with her powers, the nightmares were soon to follow.)
