Whisps of Life...

[Radar]

(Marcus Johnson stood up and smiled down at Kitty.)

Marcus: Thank you, and I really am sorry for the fight. But if it consoles you, I'm pretty sure you won.

(Marcus smiles at Kitty and then nods to Chaze. He turns a cold eye to the vampires and nods.)

Marcus: Lovely house. Sorry to blemish it with my presence.

(Marcus hobbles out of the house.)

[Wolf]

(Chaze sighs and runs his fingers through Liz's blonde hair.)

Chaze: I love you Elizabeth Van Sickle. I always will.

(Chaze turns to Shadow.)

Chaze: Sir, would you be so kind as to escort Liz back to her room. It would be greatly appreciated.

(Chaze walks over to Nigai.)

Chaze: We need to talk. Now.

[Oracle]

(Christina watches as Marcus exits the mansion. She then stands and begins to follow him when Kitty stands in front of her.)

Christina: What is it, Kitty?

Shadowcat: Look, Christina. You're still not exactly well enough and I don't know about this...

Christina: Come on. Don't tell me you're siding with them too. Kitty, please. This is important to me. I have to do this.

(Christina walks past Kitty and exits the mansion to catch up with Marcus.)

(Shadow nodded and being the gentleman he is he helped her up and wrapped her arm around his and lead her down the hall.)

Shadow: Come milady.

(Nigai nodded at Chaze but in the back of his mind he wondered what he wanted to say. Was he going to tell him off for his time with Liz? He wasn't sure but he knew he deserved to be yelled at for their little moments in the jet. He followed Chaze and waited for him to speak.)

[Wolf]

(Chaze walked around the corner and stopped. He sighed and looked up at Nigai.)

Chaze: I'm going to deck you. Don't take it personal, well, actually you might want to take it personal. But the point is, I'm warning you because I sincerely hope that I hurt you. Or at the very least wound your ego.

(Chaze sighed and looked down. When he raised his head his eyes were shining.)

Chaze: I love her. I've loved her since the very first second that I stopped trying to kill her and actually talked to her.

(Rubbing the bridge of his nose where two parallel scars ran.)

Chaze: She gave me this on one of our first encounters. Not really making me the Beauty King because of it, but I wouldn't have it any other way. Look, the point is, I've seen how I'm going to die. That b@#$%*& Nur is going to turn the very girl that I love against me and have her strike me down. I've accepted that. What I want from you is a favor. I want you to look after her for as long as she breathes on this world. I won't be here too much longer and I need to know she's going to be okay after I'm long dead.

(Chaze placed a hand on Nigai's shoulder.)

Chaze: I saw you kiss her and I saw the way you held her. I see the way you look at her, and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't ticked off to see that. But this isn't about me anymore. This is about her. I love her and if you really want to be my friend or at the very least respect me in any way, you'll do me this favor.

(Chaze smiled at Nigai pleasantly--and then punched him in the jaw as hard as he could.)

[Radar]

(Marcus hobbled over to the Shredder, but not before retrieving his Tactical Sniper from the grass. As he turned around, his eyebrow rose at Christina.)

Marcus: Um......I'm taking the Shredder and it only holds two people. So, unless you want to sit on the doggie's lap, I think you kinda have to stay here.

[Oracle]

Christina: I don't care. I'm coming with. I have to go.

[Radar]

Marcus: I'm not sure I'm even capable of bringing someone back after such a long time. Don't set yourself up for anything, only to get knocked back down. No expectations, no disappointments.

(Chaze came out of the mansion and looked at the Shredder.)

Chaze: How can you drive that thing?

Marcus: Easy, with guts and grit.

(As Chaze climbs into the co-pilot's seat he looks at Christina.)

Chaze: Um.......I guess you're riding with me.

[Oracle]

Christina: Yeah... if don't mind.

(Christina climbs into the Shredder and has to end up sitting on Chaze's lap. But this didn't bother her much. She was just concerned with seeing Matthews again. Regardless of what Marcus said, Christina was depending on this with everything she had left. Matthews had to come back. If she could, then so should he.)

Nigai nodded at him before the hit landed. His head tilted to the side but that was about it. The entire time he kept a slight smile on his face. He understood how he felt and everything that came out of his mouth. After the many relationships he'd been in he knew what it was like to loose someone you care about.)

(Once Chaze left the room his smile faded and he looked down. He really didn't want to pull them apart. In fact he was planning on distancing himself. He knew that no matter what he'll respect his wish to watch over her but now he would try not to get too close.)

(He walked back to Liz's room and without a sound asked his father to leave. Shadow stepped past him and seemed to float down the hall with the light steps he took.)

Nigai: Hey Liz... how are you feeling?

[Nightcat]

(Liz opens her useless eyes and smiles. She readjusts her feet so Nigai could not see them.)

Liz: I am doing fine. I am just tired ist all. So much as happened ze last few days ze all seem to blend togezer. Not to mention I am beginning to fear of vhat lies in ze future.

(Nigai rubbed his cheek before he leaned against the far wall. He was at a loss for words for the first time in a long time. He just watched her sitting there making his face sadden.)

Nigai: Perhaps I should head back to bed....

[Radar]

(Marcus looks at Christina and Chaze and shakes his head. As the Shredder's vertical thrusters shoot off, the prototype roars to life and zooms away from the mansion.)

Marcus: I don't know how you guys got associated with vampires, but I'd be wary if I were you. Matthews and I waged an underground war with one of their more influential organizations for Weapon X. Let's just say, we both lost several of our better friends due to those crazed blood suckers.

(Marcus drifts out of reality for a second remembering all of the good soldiers that gave their lives for a mission. Was his brother just another casuality?)

[Nightcat]

(Liz shakes her head, a glint of fear in her dead eyes.)

Liz: Nein. I am starting to feel ze affects of ze cure vearing off. I need you to do somezing. You need to go back to ze jet und get ze veapons zat Jack brought back. I need zem in here. If I go back to mein mutant form, Nur vill take over mein mind again und I do not vant zat. Bitte. For me.

(Nigai ran out there and got the cure. He ran back in the house putting it in her hand.)

Nigai: I wonder what it would do to me...
